What an experience! We had the Rose Room. This is a beautiful Bed and Breakfast! Great service, great breakfasts, and the whole house was neat and clean. In a very nice location too. Dena and Cecilia were great hosts. You will enjoy your stay as well.

We had a great experience at the Blue Ridge Inn. Each room has a theme - we were in the Rose Room on the first floor. Nice room with a good size flat panel TV. They had chocolate chip cookies sitting out at night and an excellent Southern breakfast in the morning. It is within walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants in downtown Blue Ridge. We highly recommend the Blue Ridge Inn.

My husband and I wanted to get away for the 4th of July weekend - so based on the reviews here, we chose the Blue Ridge Inn. It was a great choice. Cecelia and Dena could not have been more friendly and accommodating. The property was well maintained and immaculately kept. We had the Rose Room on the first floor, a quiet and roomy retreat. Given the room's location, we were encouraged to use the parlor right across the hall as a place to sit and read. A bonus - it had a big flat screen TV. We really enjoyed the breakfasts. They were large enough that we needed only a snack for lunch - anything else would have been too much. We especially liked the muffins - one day strawberry, the next blueberry and the next peach. Yum! Cecelia gave me the recipe and I intend to use it. I can't think a single negative thing to say - the accommodations, the location, the breakfasts, the friendliness - all great! Thanks Blue Ridge Inn - we hope to return someday.

Room Tip: Either the Rose Room or the Kincaid Suite would be best for anyone with a disability - the stairway...

If you are looking for a Bed & Breakfast that is close to the heart of Blue Ridge, GA, this is the place. It is so convenient to the town, to the food, to the shopping, and to the train of Blue Ridge. We were looking for a place where could enjoy the quaint city without worrying about driving, parking, and tourist traffic; the Blue Ridge Inn was perfect. Everything, except the mountains, were within a short walk of the inn. Even another town and the state line was a short walk via the train. The inn itself is a lovely old home. It is a converted old home, so it does come with the character of an old home, but was amazingly quiet. From our suite we only heard other quests once when a large party was returning from an evening adventure, but they were very considerate and not a problem at all. Because stairs are difficult for us, we asked for a first floor room and were very pleased with the Kincaid Suite. The other first floor room was beautiful also, and the apartment was amazing but was modern add-on, not in the character of the rest of the inn.
This review would not be complete without mentioning the delicious breakfasts prepared and served by Cecelia and Dena. Each day breakfast was different and delightful. Cecelia was a down-to-earth manager who was so very accommodating, helpful, and friendly. She even helped me arrange to have anniversary flowers and candy for my wife upon our arrival. Dena was the chief cook and did an exceptional job. Her muffins were extraordinary. And what a nice touch to have cookies available for the guests in the evening for a late night snack. They provided a refrigerator for guests to store and access their own items.
As a hint: call when you are within a half hour of the inn so the doors will be unlocked for your arrival.

Room Tip: Rooms on the main floor are superior and more private with larger bathrooms.

My husband and I decided at the last minute to drive up to Blue Ridge for our 19th anniversary. No plans. No reservations. We found the Blue Ridge Inn B&B on our phones over dinner and called to see if there was an opening. Cecilia answered and told us to come on over. It could not have been more perfect! The house is charming and right in town. Everything was so clean and quiet. We were the only couple on our floor, so it was like being at home. We were given keys so that we could take a late night stroll and sit on the porch. Fresh, delicious cookies were laid out to satisfy our midnight munchy attacks. We were served a full breakfast, and thankfully not too early in the morning. Cecilia and Dena are absolutely the friendliest innkeepers we have ever met! We stood around in the kitchen chatting like old friends and felt welcome to do so. We would definitely recommend a stay with them if you're in town. Thanks ladies for a fabulous anniversary trip!

We chose to stay here so we would not have to drive to town. It was a great choice. Dena and Cecilia are gracious, accommodating and fabulous cooks. We stayed three nights and had a different FULL breakfast each day. The day we thought we had to leave early they made muffins we could have taken with us. If rafting, horseback riding or sightseeing in the area I highly recommend this inn

Thank you for your review! We definitely try to make a different breakfast every morning. It's such an important aspect of your stay! And frankly, we don't want to cook the same thing all the time either.

We're glad that your group enjoyed your time in our town. I know you were busy, busy taking it all in and collapsing by the end of the long day. The way it should be.

We look forward to your return!

We made a "day trip" to Blue Ridge which extended into evening. While in the area we called the inn and learned there was availability. We arrived at the inn later than we expected but were received graciously by Cecilia, who after seeing my husband with a cane, gave us a room that was more accessible and on ground floor. Not only was it more accessible; it was a larger room-bigger bed-than we had bargained for on the phone- but she let us have it at the same price. We found Cecilia to be accomodating in every way, quick to remember names, and friendly. The breakfast was adequate (but to this Southerner, would have been better with some grits.) The 1890 house itself was not all that special, but the service and comfort made it a pleasant stay.

Thank you for your review! Alot of our business comes from "walk-ins" - people that come to town with no reservations and happen to find us at the last minute. While many B&B's don't take walk-ins, we love them! Luckily, the best room in the house was available to you since stairs were an issue.

Cecilia is amazing at remembering names and certain details (such as if you don't like grapes, you want milk with your breakfast or you need an extra blanket in your room). I don't know how she does it and I'm always picking on her about it (not that it's a bad thing - one of us has to have a good memory!)

I'm sorry you thought the breakfast was just adequate. Guests often tell us that they actually skip lunch because they are still full. We do serve great cheese grits, it just wasn't on the menu that morning. We would surely have made it anyways if asked - we're pretty flexible unless we're fully booked.

We hope you come back soon. Ask for the grits - we'll give you an extra scoop!
