This place would stop me from going abroad.
My wife and I along with our 3 children booked cosy under canvas and we certainly were not dissapointed.
We are in the hospitality industry and naturally be quite demanding and this venture certainly did not disappoint.
The owners are a lovely young couple and they were very very accomadaing.
we we're ablr to take our little dog and nothing was ver any trouble
HIghly recommended !!!!!!

This is without a doubt one of the loveliest places I've ever stayed, the peaceful location, the friendly, welcoming owners, the beautiful tipis furnished like you can't even imagine! Honestly blown away by the whole weekend!

Tipis and domes are well spaced and individually pitched which makes it feel like you have the place to yourself

The communal spaces are beautiful thought out, well stocked and super clean

I'm never glamping anywhere else!

Pro tip: the bridge to the tipis extends from the car park (the high grass covered it when we arrived mid august)

I booked this for my partner's 50th birthday as a surprise. It was very different to anything we had done before. We stayed in the dome for 3 nights, with the wonderful hot tub. It is a beautiful setting, with everything you need for a wonderful glamping experience. They really have thought of everything! If there is anything slightly negative, it is that the domes are a little closer together than we would have liked, and not quite as private as they could be. The hot tub could definitely have benefitted from some kind of fence round to give a modicum of privacy. But these were small issues, and we would highly recommend to anyone

Thanks very much for your review, we are delighted that you and your partner enjoyed his birthday surprise here and made the most of the hot tub. The dome that you stayed in is the most central in the site so is a little more exposed than the others but now the leaves are fully on the trees it is well hidden. We had already intended on planting a living willow screen in one area near the dome and round the hot tub in the autumn so there will be more privacy for next season. Thanks again for your comments and I do hope that we see you again in the future. All the best Emma

Wow!! We have just returned from an amazing glamping adventure at Cosy Under Canvas. It really is a unique holiday experience. My husband turned 40 this weekend and I wanted to organise something that would be fun and memorable but not cost too much. This was the place!
My husband, myself and our 3 children stayed in the Holly Dome for the weekend. The dome was spacious, clean and tidy, very welcoming and comfortable - especially the hammock and swing seat in the dome. I opted for the wooden hot tub as a birthday treat and it was brilliant! The water heated up really quickly and maintained its heat well - my children went in it at least twice a day.
It was a real adventure cooking our meals on the open fire - and all the cooking pots / griddles / tripods etc were all provided along with good advice from Emma.
The eco toilet served its purpose perfectly well as did the showers which opened up to the tree canopy - not something you are lucky enough to experience that often.
The camp area was very well set up - you were close enough to the communal kitchen but still maintained your privacy around your camp area. My children also enjoyed exploring the activities set up around and about the area - especially the wooden walkway that led you to the den and stream.
Finally a massive thank you to Emma who displayed excellent communication from when I first enquired about the holiday to her helpfulness when we were at the site.
I would highly recommend Cosy under Canvas - thanks for a fantastic glamping adventure.

My partner and I stayed at Cosy under Canvas for 3 nights and genuinely believe it is a magical place! We stayed for one night in a tipee and the following two in an Eco dome with wood fired hot tub. Everything we could possibly need was available, the beds were warm and extremely comfortable. The hot tub was a luxury and the "tree bog" was a fantastic idea with lots of homely touches to make it as comfortable as possible. The views and landscape were lovely and we would more than recommend, we hope to go again!! Hay on wye is a must visit town nearby

We needed a very quiet and relaxing week where we couldn't be reached except in an emergency and where we could read to our hearts' content. Cosy under Canvas provided it perfectly and the hammock was an absolute bonus. We cooked over the open fire but the kitchen provided that little bit of civilisation when we felt we needed it. The showers were good and hot but for days when we needed to charge electronics we opted to go to the wetroom which was a real treat - charge kindles and phones while showering.
Our intention is to go back again, this time to experience a week in a dome and probably with friends who, like us, need a break with no distractions but time to catch up on the human side of life in a beautiful and natural setting. Oh, and the owls are something else! One night we counted three communicating from different parts of the valley; one of them in a tree right over our tipi. Magic.

We booked a four night stay in a tipi and after 2 nights asked if we could swap to a dome which was no problem at all. We have two boys aged 5 and 7 and they had an absolute ball as there was plenty for them to do, from playing games in cosy corner to making things not to mention the exploring that they did.

The location Was ideal the site was spotless, friendly staff and the owners were fantastic. I have to say that it was deffinately the best break we have had and would highly recommend it to family and friends.
