I found the Hunter Cattle Company while searching the internet for farm stays. I was looking for vacation ideas for my brother-in-law who is mentally challenged. He loves animals, being outdoors, being around people and helping out. HCC provided all this and more! Following HCC's excellent directions, we arrived at the red barn and were welcomed as family members would be. Our room was great - clean, comfortable, homey and tastefully decorated with country memorabilia. Clifton hit the ground running by helping to collect a large basket of eggs which he later washed and placed into cartons for market customers. The farm stay allowed him to feed the the animals, commune with the rabbits, and visit with all the animals. Every member of the Hunter family and staff was friendly, kind, and answered any and all questions that we had. I enjoyed that fact that the farm store has some wonderful food and health products, from both HHC and other local farms, available for purchase. What could be better than promoting both clean eating and support for local businesses? We had a wonderful time and plan on returning.
