“Great place to stay!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 June 2013

My husband and I stayed here for the 1st part of our vacation and it was great! Jack and Matthew were wonderful, answered all of our questions about the house and Brunswick (we had never been before), Matthew even gave us a tour of the Old City Hall (he works there)! We always had delightful conversations with them.
The breakfasts were served in the dining room and were delicious, including fresh fruit, coffee for my husband and juice for both of us. Jack made us biscuits and gravy with a touch of salsa on them ,it was GREAT!! The rooms were decorated well and our room was just right for us. We stayed in the Mittie Eugene room and had a private porch attached. The house was very pretty and charming.
We would be more than happy and willing to stay there again when we go back!

My wife and I found Watershill B&B in an internet search several years ago and decided to stay there on a short vacation to the Georgia coast. We had a wonderful stay and Watershill B&B has since become a regular stop whenever we are in the area. Jack and Matthew are wonderful hosts. The house is simply gorgeous - a beautiful 19th century home lovingly restored by Jack and Matthew and full of antiques and collectibles. We’ve stayed in three of the five guest rooms and each has its own unique charm. Breakfast is served in the dining room and is always delicious, including fresh fruit, beverages, juice, and one of Jack’s hot tasty creations. Complimentary drinks are available for guests from the bar located in the kitchen. We like to relax on the porch with gin and tonic, soaking up the atmosphere of the lovely garden. We travel a lot and Watershill is the finest B&B we have ever experienced.

Room Tip: The rooms are all wonderful. Choose the Mittie Eugene room is you prefer not to climb stairs. It a...

We usually stay on Jekyll or St. Simons but decided to change things up and chose WatersHill for a weekend getaway from Atlanta. We are SO glad we did! The home and area are charming, the decor throughout WatersHill is intriguing (ask about the butterfly lamp and secret door), and our hosts could not have been more gracious, or better cooks! We stayed in Mittie Eugene and loved the adjoining private porch and cosy atmosphere. An outstanding value. We will be back!

Room Tip: If you are a single or a cozy couple who would like a private porch for reading with a glass of wine...

My husband and I just returned from this incredible holiday in Brunswick GA. We travel quite a bit and stay at as many B+B's as we can. We can honestly say this is at the top of our list for the most excellent accomadation ever!
Jack and Mathew are the most amazing hosts we have ever met. Going above and beyond your typical B+B. Thier home is elegant and charming, with Southern hospitality added in.
They are the whole package, and we will be returning there next year!
Thank you both for everything!

Unfortunately humour does not come across the internet well. I would have said "the austerity of the decor is relieved by a few antiques tastefully displayed," but might have been taken seriously.
Jack Waters, our genial host is a collector, fortunately with excellent taste. Nearly every available vertical or horizontal surface is occpuied by something of interest and/or artistic merit. Many of the better paintings are his own creations and quite good. The rooms are certainly comfortable, if a bit over-furnished. Everything is, of course spotlessly clean. The breakfasts are the highlight of a memorable stay. The food is varied, Southern and wonderful. I have never really enjoyed either biscuits and gravy or grits before, but Jack's, served on successive days were glorious, helping anyone unfamiliar with good Southern food to understand just what makes it so compelling. And even the food took second place to Jack's engaging conversation. It is easy to spend a couple or three hours "at table" with Jack, and leave with a new friend. His partner Matthew Hill was less in evidence, he met us on arrival but had to leave before we breakfasted each day.
Brunswick Georgia was itself a little disappointing, we arrived on a sunday and had to return to the interstate to find a restaurant open for dinner, and then ended up in a dry county. Most of Brunswick's retail activity has been transferred to a mall outside town, but St. Simon's Island is just a hop away and has many good restaurants.Jekyll is interesting but has fewer places to eat.

We've been going every year for many years. This B&B is 10 minutes from St Simons island. So, it is very convenient. I cannot say enough good things about this place. The hosts are as nice as they can be. On our final day after breakfast, we talked for 3 hours over coffee. It was like they were old friends. The place is spotless and the rooms are so comfortable. Don't miss this gem, 2 minutes from historic downtown Brunswick and 10 minutes from St. Simons island.

Our stay at WatersHill was early August 2012. We are a family of 4 with 2 "young adult" children. We wanted them to have the Bed and Breakfast experience. Unfortunately for our kids, if this is the standard we have set, it will be difficult for them to find another to match. The moment we walked in the door, our eyes were spinning, trying to find just one beautiful place to land. We had arrived later than planned, but Matthew's casual demeanor allowed us to settle in comfortably. We played a board game that evening in the upstairs parlor between our rooms. We laughed. We relaxed. In the morning we met Jack! What a hoot! The two of them provided a delicious (aka YUMMY) breakfast. And the conversation was delightful! Light banter and engagement of the entire table! We hope to do this again! Don't miss this!! Wish we had more time...
