“Must stop to play if traveling through S.E. Ga.”
Reviewed 7 February 2013

Just 3 miles off of I-95 Coastal Pines is a great value golfing.
The course has many improvements to open up play as well as course upgrades.
The winter conditions on the fairways give plenty of roll with the over seeded greens and collars giving summer like conditions.

I play several times a week with the men's golf group and would recommend this under $45 fee course to anyone coming to this area.
High handicaps can play from the gold tees and have a good round //while from the back tees you better bring a big stick.

“home course”
Reviewed 5 November 2012

A fun golf course and a deal. these guys frequently have deals available to play for under $35. Best golf for a budget. Great putting green (actually built up to simulate real green areas), good driving range (has areas built up like small greens and at all the right distances), and course is pretty good. greens could be faster but are designed well and have many options for flag placements. there are times of the year that the course isnt in such great shape but right now it looks good (but winter is coming). Overall good value, not too many crowds, and only place in the area with GPS on carts

“Nice for the Price”
Reviewed 5 August 2012

The reason this gets 4 stars is the fact that this course has GPS installed on the carts and is nicely laid out. It is not overcrowded and I enjoy not being pushed when I play. The course looks neglected in areas, but this would not prevent me from golfing there and I will return .

“Overpriced for condition and layout of course”
Reviewed 31 May 2012

The course is not bad layout but is not great either, very plain. Course is usually not in great shape especially greens which have been pretty bad a few times I have been.

“Used to be so so much better - Owners neglecting the course”
Reviewed 29 May 2012

Coastal Pines at one time was one of my favorite courses to play while down in the Brunswick/Golden Isles area. It has a great layout, was always in great shape, was never super crowded, and the price was always right. The carts were also wired with GPS navigation to assist with your yardages. I am not sure if recent years the course has switched ownership but the current ownership of Coastal Pines appears to not put any money back into this facility. The greens were absolutely awful and appeared to look like a first cut of fairway. They would probably roll to a 3 or 4 if they were measured it was that bad! Also, after a storm most courses greenskeepers would go around the course and clean up any debris that had fallen from trees etc…. Coastal Pines looks like it hasn’t done this in weeks as there is debris not only in the rough but in the middle of the fairways. Also, the 9 hole rate is the same as the 18 hole rate which makes no sense.

There is no snackbar at Coastal Pines and no drink cart ( as I believe there used to be one back in the day if I am not mistaken) The pro hsop has some hats and shirts to purchase with their logo on it but not an abundence.

It’s a real shame because this golf course has such a good layout. It is open enough where you have some room to make mistakes but still is challenging enough for better players. Coastal Pines is one of those places that you yearn for its better days.
