If Bryce Canyon Lodge is full or too expensive, this will unfortunately be one of the only other options. All-In-One huge motel/gas station/diner complex with basic BW rooms and atrocious food. The beauty of Bryce Canyon will make you forget that you ever stayed here.

Probably our least favourite accommodation on our recent trip - but not bad. We had a family suite, which size-wise was good. It was a little run down though and the motel buildings had a slight barracks type feel.
After reading the reviews we chose not to eat in the hotel but in our room. However the food store at Ruby's didn't offer a great range - so stock up beforehand.
The main lodge at Ruby's is fun, with a big souvenir store.
It is convenient for Bryce, where we enjoyed walking the Navajo trail/Queens garden loop. I think I was slightly affected by altitude as I was breathless on the ascent despite walking v slowly.
Had lunch at Bryce Lodge in the Park which was a good experience.

Great location outside the gates of Bryce National Park. There's a lot of tradition in this establishment despite its appearance as a sprawling motel property. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our standard rooms were large and comfortable. The cowboy food in the restaurant is filling after a day of hiking and sightseeing. The indoor pool is too small for the number of guests, and when filled with kids its mayhem!

We visited this area for a couple of days. We stayed at Rubys inn for one night. The Inn was nice with a big general store and the people were very friendly. We did not stay at the main lodge but one of the adjacent lodges. We had a nice size room with microwave and refrigerator. Very quiet and not crowded. Our room with two double beds was $67.00 with tax. We ate at the buffet at the inn for dinner and breakfast. I felt that it was somewhat overpriced. The food was fair. I would probably order off menu next time.

Ruby's is a five-minute drive from Bryce Canyon and for this reason, it's probably the best place to stay if you are going to Bryce, especially if you want to see the sun rise, which I would recommend. The room was fine - clean and comfortable. The restaurant was distinctly average, but was OK for the price and good beer was available! They have a useful general store and internet access on site.

Ruby's delivers what it promises: good lodging, proximity to Bryce, tours/activities, friendly service and convenience. We spent a few days in Bryce in March and Ruby's was the closest inn available. The lodging was more than adequate, with clean and ample room, with easy check-in and check-out services. The inn offers a wide variety of tours/hike info/ATV outings/horseback tours/etc. The main lodge is beautiful and the convenience was great; there was the General Store which carries everything you could possibly need from the usual souvenir type stuff to food, beverages, camping needs, hiking needs, toiletries, drug store items, etc. The restaurant offered decent menu items, and a large buffet which is perfect after a long hike. There are shops with books, posters, items from local artisans, and friendly staff. My favorite amenitiy is the pool and hot tub! After a long tiring hike there's nothing like soaking in the hot tub. From those out there who mention it is not fancy enough, or not posh...well, I don't know what to say other than you need to adjust your expectations. You're in the middle of rural Utah going to hike Bryce Canyon. I didn't expect the Waldorf Astoria! But it really was a nice place to stay and everyone was VERY nice and welcoming. I'd stay there again in a minute if I return to Bryce.

Stayed in main lodge. Rooms were large and clean but plain.
We booked a room with a whirlpool tub so we could have a relaxing soak after the long drive but were very disappointed. The tub was only the same size as a regular tub and very old. Not suitable for a soak.
