The location of this hotel and the staff are great! I would say it is in downtown Columbus but they call it uptown. We could walk to restaurants in the evening OR just go downstairs to Houlihans. the drinks at Houlihans were great and the desserts. the lobby and the empire suites are in the old building.... Very neat atmosphere. Because we needed 2 queens we were in the "modern" building. The rooms were not large. the beds were comfortable with nice bedding. having a refrigerator and microwave are always nice. If you are in Columbus and plan to be traveling the area, or need a big room, it may not be worth spending the extra money to stay at the Columbus Marriott. If however you want the "nice" part of Columbus, walk to restaurants, historical sites, walk/bike along Riverwalk, it is A great place to stay!!! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We Hope to be able to stay here again when we return.

Room Tip: Empire mills rooms may have more "atmosphere" as they are in the renovated mill but we did...

I have found the people at the front can make a stay a pleasant experience from minute one. I got a wheelchair accessible room with a roll-in shower. The room was very good. The bed was three inches too high. The temperature contols were not reachable from a wheelchair. The light switches and lamp switches are easy to use with crippled hands. There is an in room refrig. There is an annoying ramp into the bathroom. The seat in the shower is a very sturdy bench which stays put. i love the location, downtown with a convenient wheelchair push on flat terrain to shops and pubs.

Stayed here overnight on way from the gulf coast to Atlanta. The hotel is amazing. We hadn't booked but gt a good deal on checking in and got a nice, clean, very comfortable room. The hotel lobby is amazing and a short walk from the hotel takes you onto a riverfront walk which was unexpectedly delightful. Really enjoyed our short stay there.

We are so glad you enjoyed your visit with us and yes, the Chattahoochee RiverWalk is beautiful. With being located right across the street, it is easy for our guests to access and the shops and restaurants on Broadway are within walking distiance as well. Please stay with us again as you travel through Columbus and we will look forward to providing the "very best of service" for you and your family!

Loved it! The workers always smiled. You can tell they are treated well and live what they do. Our team stayed here for the World Series and there was not one time the workers weren't smiling and greeting us every time we came in and out! The cleaning ladies worked around our crazy schedule and always kept our room clean! Would definately stay here again and again. Also, the Manager, Mrs. Oliver offered water for our team an they allowed us to stay in the conference room for a couple of hours so we wouldn't be charged another night. No other hotel does that!!Can't express how awesome our stay here was. ESP thanks to manager Mrs. Oliver, Christopher, Sean, Jasmine, Ms. Ann, and in case I have forgotten, all other cleaning ladies on 2nd floor, the valets, front desk workers, etc. awesome experience!!!!!

A part of the hotel is a building that used to be a mill. It houses the restaurant, coffee shop and a ball room. The lobby is a part of this and it is beautiful with many furniture arrangements throughout the open space. The 6 floors of the main part of the hotel are typical Marriott. Rooms are ok, could need an upgrade. Small bathroom. We were on the 6th floor. Good views from both sides of the hotel. Large outdoor pool. The covered deck on the street side of the pool needs repairs and paint. Fitness center was good. Would definitely stay here again. Two blocks up Broadway and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. One block to the historic district and one block to the Chattahoochee river park.

I've never been disappointed when I'm at the Columbus Marriott. The staff are very friendly and the onsite Houlihan's has great food and atmosphere. Highly recommend. The location is very close to all the night life that Columbus has to offer. You can take a cab or walk. The River Center is just around the corner to enjoy a show as well.

Thank you for this important feedback and please know we have all ice machines in service at this time as well as all elevators in full operating status! Your guest room was located on our "Mill Side" of our Historic Marriott Hotel and the downtown Railroad Train runs twice a day right down the middle of the street on this side of the Hotel! We invite you to visit us again when possible and please enjoy staying on the Tower Side of the Hotel with 6th Floors of newly renovated guest rooms and you do not hear the train on this side of the Building!
