Location great for wanting to be near the river walk and also Broadway where all the bars and restaurants are. Everything is within walking distance. We were here for a 2 night weekend stay. Hotel was very crowded because of several events (Triathlon, a big wedding and also a large class reunion) Kind of awkward at times because the reunion dinner-cocktails was setup in the lobby and also right next to the elevators. You had to walk around all the people and tables just to get to your room, and the elevators were so slow, you had to stand near all the reunion guests just to wait and get to your room. Beds in room were great, bathrooms were clean. You could just see where allot of corners were cut and signs that upgrades were necessary. Many open areas had leaks from the rain, walls and ceiling plaster were cracking etc..... The water pressure in the showers was very low. The pool was pretty disgusting and needs to be resurfaced. They should also have an outdoor shower to minimize the layer of suntan oil and dirt that was floating on the surface, The pool was very old and needs significant upgrades. The hotel restaurant and coffee bar were great. Overall service was good. We could hear every word/arguments from our very loud neighbors. Very Old AC units in rooms, we had to change rooms because we could not get the temperature down enough to cool off. This could be a great hotel........ upgrade elevators, Pool and AC and it will be.
