“We go every week and we can be foodie snobs....”
Reviewed 26 November 2013

We love this place for the great casual atmosphere and fabulous food. We go every week (no kidding) and have a hard time straying away from our favorite meal, which is so much better than Mellow Mushroom (a previous favorite). Here it is: Wings- get them triple X, honey hot, extra wet, with blue cheese and celery and tell me if it isn't the best wings you've ever had. If you don't like heat, get the honey hot. Then we get a Summer in Turin pizza (a white pizza with fresh basil, feta cheese, and tomatoes) and we add Pecan Bacon and Italian Sausage. Yes--it is different and we never thought our whole family would be converted to a white pizza, but this did it. Some other things we love: fabulous calamari- get all three sauces (it is extra but worth it), tortellini with alfredo sauce and add sliced Italian Sausage (usually comes with a different sauce- just ask them to switch the sauce). The seared tuna pie bread with lemon aioli is wonderful as well. Oh, and the blue cheese wedge with bacon crumbles. I think that sums it up. And our favorite server there is Lindsay; she knows down to our drinks what we order and it is fun to go somewhere and have the server know what you want without asking. Have we been on nights when they were busy and the service was slow? Yes, but that is not the norm. Have we occasionally had less than perfect service? Yes, but again, that is not the norm. The servers are all very friendly and really put forth their best effort. And we have fun there...there is a lot to choose from around us and everyone in the family still chooses Amici's to go to weekly. We have celebrated all kinds of family victories there...all A's on report card or a business deal. We love having Amici's near us!

Thank you so much for your WONDERFUL review back in November!! I am just seeing how detailed your review was and we appreciate the honesty!! XHoney is our most popular along with Original X! Our pizza dough and sauces are made scratch daily so we pride ourselves on the quality of food we serve!! Sometimes our service isn't as adequate as we'd like to think it is, but this is something we work on daily! We always want our customers to have the best possible service possible!!

“Good food, reasonable price, slightly slow service”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

Service is slow, refills on drinks also slow (gotta keep my Diet Coke filled up!). Food is good with an excellent selection, but slow to serve.

“The Best Cheese Fries!”
Reviewed 11 November 2013 via mobile

In town for a few days and was told this place had awesome cheese fries. WOW! The cheese sauce they use with their fries is the best I have ever had! I wanna drive 6 hours just to get some from VA. The wings were great too. Good prices, great location and wonderful service! Can't wait to go back to Covington and enjoy cheese fries!

“great flavors”
Reviewed 18 October 2013

My friend and I shared the spinach artichoke dip appetizer and the pesto primavera and each brought home left overs! The portions are really large. The shared flavor of the artichokes in both dishes made them very complimentary. The artichoke dip is very chunky so if you like a smoother texture, this is not for you. I thought it was great. I even combined some of the artichoke dip into my pasta (when was unnecessary but I wanted to experiment) and it was great too!
Perfect place to meet friends or take the family.
