We just spent the holiday weekend here for a wedding. The hotel staff is top notch. Coffee was always fresh, rooms were clean, team members were extremely helpful. They had several weddings over the weekend and kept all the goodie bags straight. The breakfast was also good.
The bad- this location is just tired- carpet is worn, bathrooms are a bit sad, sheets are worn, furniture is worn. The mattress in our room was terrible- extremely hard.
This location is one renovation away from 5 stars- the staff is there, but they're being letdown by the facility.
It is not much to look at, especially sitting in the shadow of a Holiday Inn express, but the stay was great. The view from our room was amazing. I have no complaints. The breakfast was very basic, but the beds were nice and comfortable. The room was clean. The shower worked well, as did the mini fridge, and microwave. As a plus for my 5 year old, the pool was crystal clear. I would definitely stay here again
The folks at the counter are worth the stay. Very friendly and accommodating. The room had a lot of flowery smell. The beds are great but everything is dated including the carpet. The tile in the bath is dangerously slippery so be careful with that.
We went to Dahlonega for a friend's FROG Week graduation. It was also Move-in weekend for UNG and many were in the area staying for the eclipse on Monday. At the last minute, we decided to stay another night after the one we previously booked. The management found us a room where we could stay and not have to change rooms. The room was better than what we booked, with no extra charge, It was very clean and all services were great despite the Inn being fully booked. We'll go there again when we're in the area.
