We stopped here on the way to Savannah for one night. It was okay for the price, but we had several mostly minor issues. First of all, it's between two other motels but does not have it's own entrance - we had to drive through the Hampton Inn to get into the Day's Inn parking lot. The room was good, the bed comfortable, and the water hot and plentiful. However, the heat come on in the middle of the night was noisy enough to notice if you are a light sleeper or were not quite asleep yet. The room never got completely dark, either due to the big lighted on/off button on the wall mounted television and due to light leaking in from around the curtains on the window. We were disappointed in the hot breakfast - the French toast was not bad but the eggs were egg patties that were not hot and the sausage was kind of tasteless. Overall, it was still a good price.

I vowed never a "Days Inn" again, but the reviews made me "check this one" out. We stayed "overnight" on our way to Florida. What a nice surprise!! We had a 2nd floor, King room, with micro, fridge, wet bar, for the "AARP" price of $49.49!! Well worth the price, which included a "hot" breakfast of eggs, sausage, waffles, muffins, juices, ect. We found everything very clean, and well kept. It was between the Hampton and Super 8,( which is where we stayed last year) like a "diamond in the rough". We'll stay here next year, for sure, even if the price goes up.

We recently stayed here for 4 nights (MJS November) while house hunting in the area and were pleasantly surprised with what we got for a very good price. Every staff member we encountered were friendly and helpful, especially Martha and Magen...always ready with a smile and kind word. Having worked in the hospitality field ourselves (B&B owners) we are always thrilled to find a lodging choice that considers customer service important. Days Inn Darien goes the extra mile to ensure that your stay is a good one.
Yes, the breakfast choices are minimal (adding some fresh fruit would be awesome!) and the breakfast area is small but adequate.
We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

I just can't give this hotel a poor rating, if one is just staying for a few hours overnight it's ok for the price. However, I can't imagine spending any time other that a late night overnight stay. The 30 item "HOT" breakfast was dissapointing and the space is extremely small!! to quote my son "I'm just going to stay away from hotel eggs." These were terrible. The sausage was microwaved and flavorless. But it was well managed and the staff was very friendly. The room was spacious enough for a overnight and was quiet, however, we didn't check in until about 11 pm so we were exhausted. Bare bones price. Bare bones accommodations No complaints but no recommendation other than a decent place to stay if need a place to rest weary bones for a night..

Room Tip: I think I would always opt for the top floor as seemed like someone with heavy feet would be very no...

Dear Stevej74,

I'm sorry to hear that we did not live up to your expectations, but do hope that next time you are in the area we are able to show you that we are much more than you think. Sounds like you arrived a little bit late after all the things we are able to offer you like our freshly baked cookies and evening social hour with nachos. Our friendly staff also helps to make sure that you are well taken care of and if there is anything you need we will make sure we get it taken care of. We hope to see you again next time you are in the area!

This hotel stay exceeded my expectations! The rate that I got from Priceline.com was truly a bargain. Normally I wouldn't stay at a Days Inn, but decided to take a chance. Everything about our stay was good from the evening snacks, the cleanliness of the room to the breakfast. The staff was very nice and helpful. I will definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: A great place to stay when visiting Sapelo Island.
