This is one of our all-time favorite places to stay! The location is great, the breakfast is amazing, and the rooms are so comfortable. Bill and Jan were so helpful with our questions about kayaking, places to eat, etc. We hope to make this at least an annual trip!

Jan & Bill were great hosts. We were invited to their Saturday night bonfire and ended up taking the kayaks out (you can use their boats while your staying) on a moon-tide midnight adventure with their neighbors as our guides, this was a highlight on our trip. The day long trip to Sapelo Island was another highlight, Jan & Bill hooked us up w/ Ceasar & Betty Banks who gave us a personalized tour and then let us spend the afternoon on the almost vacant, pristine Sapelo Beach The Blue Heron room was spacious, the bedding wonderful, the breakfasts were great and we had an amazing view from our private deck. Don't wait, book a room now.

is yours if you choose to stay at the Blue Heron Inn. Bill and Jan are truly the most gracious of hosts, they are at your service for any question or help in arranging an outing. The house is comprised of four rooms devoted to the B&B, the remarkable thing about this property is the deck outside of each room, there one can sit and simply look out into the wetland, observe the birds at the feeders and dream away! We enjoyed this upper part of the coast, mainly because it is off the beaten track, not "touristy" and one feels more of a sense of being with nature. Jan gave us input on where to eat and what to do...very much enjoyed.

Room Tip: the room we were in has the a/c right above the bed, I am very noise sensitive, most folks are not...but if you are request another room.

First of all - the owners, Bill and Jan put you at ease and make you feel like members of the family. Our room was gracious, large and very comfortable. The sliding glass door led us onto the balcony where we could see and experience the marsh and its rise and fall of tides. Our hosts enjoy birds and have feeders everywhere, so there was an endless supply of a huge variety of birds. Our favorite was the Painted Bunting. Breakfast was amazing. We only stayed two nights, but were delighted both mornings with a great breakfasts.
I would highly recommend this B&B to any one.

My friend Tina and I stayed 2 nights at Bill and Jan's bed and breakfast in April 2013. Everything was so wonderful it is difficult to put into words. I love the marsh, the birds and all of it and will be back next year for another experience. Do go to the Blue Heron and you will be amazed! Best, Laura
