We decided to leave Savannah a day earlier than planned and stop somewhere for a night on our way to Cumberland Island. On a whim I called and talked to Jan, one of the Innkeepers at the Blue Heron who was able to answer all my questions and booked us in. They have a beautifully remote location, waterfront and nicely landscaped. The room was very comfortable, the resident cats and dogs were fun to play with and Jan and Bill were great companions and conversationalists over a glass of wine or two. My wife and I have stayed at many b & b 's and the Blue Heron receives a gold star from us and our unreserved recommendation. Did I mention the great breakfast?
