While I am very fortunate to travel all over the world and eat at some of the most wonderful and interesting places this is not one of them at all but it did however exceed my expectations which is the sign of a great experience.
What I expected was a fair, at best selection of choices, fair at best quality, fair at best service and very good value. While it was very good value it was also very solid selection of fresh choices, outstanding friendly service and above average quality for the price. $26 for myself and the girls "all in".
The salad bar had a very large selection of fresh choices. The entree selections were what you would expect fried chicken, fish, pizza, and the big open grill. They server top sirloin and while it was not a filet from Masteo's or the Palm it was OK. Since they are cooking in volume getting the temp we wanted was no problem.
Sides were also what you would expect not to much fresh stuff here but all were fine.
Kids went crazy, after eating a very good dinner, for the dessert bar which had all kinds of sweets.
So again this was not Ruth's Chris or anything close but the key is what you expect vs. what you get and going in I expected a subpar cattle herd experience and got a pretty good meal with very good and attentive service at a great price. Would not say I am going back all the time but for sure have no problem ever making a trip once and a while, especially with the kids because they have so many choices.
