My second stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as the first. Add to that that this time I had two meals at the Hub Breakfast and Dinner and both had an excellent selection and cordial service. I highly recommend the Maple Salmon sandwich.

Room Tip: Get a room facing west as it overlooks the park-like environs of the Gwinnett Center.

I have to work at the Gwinnett center once a year, I usually stay at the Hilton but decided since the event's choice was the Holiday Inn to book there. Waited in line for over 15 minutes to check in, get in the room to find it was the handicapped room. No one told me this at the desk. Ok, it is super large but weirdly spartan. The little table wobbles, the one upholstered room chair (not the wobbly desk chair) was awful fabric and hard. The bathroom had no tub and the shower just opened into the room with a drain in the floor. You had to hold the shower nozzle neck to take a shower. I hated it but thought, big deal, one night. Went to bed, tried to sleep, emphasis on tried. The "Hub" bar must open out to an area under where my room was and even though I was on the 5th floor, I could hear every whoop, holler and loud conversation. How long could this last I thought, TIL 3AM, continually until 3am! and it was not 2 or 3 people, it was over 12 at least. Not that I could sleep on that bed anyway, lumpy and every coil sticking up out of that mattress. I was delighted to get up at 6 just to get out of that bed. Went down to breakfast (nothing complimentary here, nothing), was informed that breakfast was an all you can eat buffet, $11.00. OK, we were there it should be easy. Well, $11 is not quite the truth. They will quickly more you a glass of orange juice when they pour your coffee. That glass of orange juice will cost $2 more. So now you breakfast buffet is $13 . I totally do not like sneaky charges like that, shows a lack of integrity. Considering that the Hilton, right across the street as a breakfast nearly as nice for absolutely free (cost of the room there is only $10 more), you come out MUCH MUCH better to stay there. And there orange juice is free!!!! I will never stay here again, absolutely never!

Room Tip: If you must stay here ask that your room is on the opposite side of the building, bring ear plugs as...

My family and I travel from Warner Robins, GA in the Fall and Christmas time to go shopping at the Mall of Georgia. The hotel overall was very clean and the staff was friendly, helpful and great. We stayed on the 6th floor. Check in was quick and easy we had reserved our room online and had no problem when we arrived. The rooms are very nice and clean, when we got in the room the a/c unit was set to 70 we adjusted it to 68 (we like it cold) then proceeded to head down for some pool time and shopping. When we returned to the room it still did not seem like it was cooled off so we adjusted the temp to 65. The room never seemed to cool off it was very warm and felt like it was 80 in the room all night. We did not say anything to the staff because we were only staying for one night. The room package we purchased was for two double beds came with a free breakfast which is only valid for 2 guest their was three of us but the staff let my 5yr old eat for free. The breakfast was nothing special just a basic breakfast, the food was okay but not really that great. If you plan on eating breakfast and did not get it free with your room it will cost you $11/person. The hotel has a great pool my 5yr old daughter loves swimming. The location is a little bit confusing to find you actually have to drive into the Gwinnett Center parking area to reach the hotel and their are no signs to let you know where to turn. We were only 8 miles from the Mall. Definitely will stay again but will make sure the a/c unit is functioning properly and will just grab breakfast elsewhere.

Room Tip: Any room is great did not hear any noises from other guest and the hotel was pretty booked.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Holiday Inn Gwinnet Center on September 20th and 21st. The stay was superb. There isn't too much I can say that is not on a positive note. The beds are amazing, the free wifi and cable television are amazing, and the staff is courteous and welcoming. The only negative thing I can say is partly my fault. Within the hotel is something called "The Hub". It is a cafe that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and is quite tastey. Silly me, I thought it was the free breakfast but it actually wound up being an expensive oversight. Besides that, everything was amazing and I would definitely recommend this location for anyone staying in the area for the night whether they are attending something at the Gwinnet Center or the Arean or just passing through.

Room Tip: If able to utilize a discount price get the King Size suite! (Even without a discount I am sure it i...

Love the new "Hub" concept - open, modern, urban. Great for business or pleasure. The modern decor is accented with pictures of Holiday Inn's past, in black and white with sepia and cyan tones. Very nice tie between the past and present. However, it's the Hub that makes it great. Bar, restaurant, an business center all downstairs together make for a great meet & greet environment. The rooms are of course comfortable and quiet.

My husband and I stayed for one night recently as part of a quick and casual shopping weekend. We've stayed at this HI in the past, but we were pleasantly surprised to find that all common spaces in the hotel have been refurbished with a modern, open design. Our room was fresh and clean, and although the hotel was full due to several conventions in the area, noise was not a problem. The breakfast was great and service was excellent. We noticed that a lot of detail has gone into creating fun, relaxing spaces for guests of all ages. There was plenty of well-lit, comfortable seating indoors and out and lots of board games and books for kids. There was also a Wii game system and large TV in the lounge area which was a big surprise to us. For adults, there were easily accessible computers equipped with MS Office software and printers in the lobby. Overall, this HI offered a great mix of amenities for both kids and adults. We'd definitely come back.

My husband is a rewards member and we used his points to book our room for two nights over the weekend. We had our 2 teenage daughters with us to celebrate one of their birthdays. Upon check in, my husband was told that the free breakfast was only for the rewards member and not for anyone else in the family. What? Seriously? We have never stayed at any hotel that advertises free breakfast and then says only my husband eats for free! The young man at the front desk never cracked a smile and had the worst attitude for being in customer service. The staff in The Hub was great (specifically Sam), but this morning when we went down for breakfast, half of the food on the buffet was cold. Not impressed. We have stayed in a lot of IHG owned hotels both on business trips and family vacations and this one was by far the least impressive. We will be back up the area several times a year in the future but will NOT be staying here again.

Dear Ms. Shirley,
Thank you for taking the time to complete your review. We do offer as a "local extra" to our IHG Rewards members, a free breakfast. Because we are a full service hotel, breakfast is not complimentary, although we have rates which include breakfast that you may choose during the reservation process.
We appreciate your feedback in regards to our staff and we will use this as a tool to develop the team member.
Guest service is our priority. Thank you again for your feedback.
