This place has the best Greek food in Atlanta. The gyro, Greek salad, potatoes, and spanakopita are the best

As a kid in NC in the late 60's my neighbor ran a Greek diner in a bowling alley. This is where I was initially exposed to Greek food. When I went to college (FSU), I lived in a town that had NO Greek restaurants but would have a Greek food weekend that draws 40K people, (go figure).Anyway staying in the ATL airport area 3yrs ago I found this place (before writing reviews).
This trip the only thing attracting me to this place at 2:00PM on a Wed was not the decor or location but that it was FULL . So waiting until post 5PM, I came in for dinner. After waiting briefly in line behind local customers, (this is a predominately African- American neighborhood because this food is that good). I ordered a Gyro, Spanakopita, and a drink for less than $9. The meal was simple fresh and good (I can't spell the Gyro sauce but it tasty and wound up everywhere).
The Spanakopita 's outside was crispy golden brown and that its interior was was cheesy filled spinich.
The lack of the 5Th dot is in the the decor. Be advised this ain't the Ritz -Carlton . ( Think "Arnold's" from TV's Happy Days).

Have been eating there 30 years. It is one of those paces where the food you ate three years ago tastes the same today. He has standard Lamb Gyros, chicken Gyros and salad with his special Greek potatoes. Of course real southern sweet tea. There is seating inside and outside and you can see the planes takeoff. His special sauce cannot be duplicated, I have tried for the past 10 years and never got close. Tables are clean, the temp. is kept low because of the heat the grill and fryers give off. If Nick is there he will amaze you with Greek trivia. Well work the trip.
I would give his food a triple wipe with a napkin----it is that juicy and good

The place is a dump; sticky floors, crud on everything you touch, no parking, cramped seating, etc. However, the food is the best food within 10 miles of the airport. If they'd clean the place a bit and get some real estate this they'd win some serious awards.

This food is excellent. The lines are long but move quickly, don't let the crowded, small space deter you. I have never had a dish here that wasn't delicious and mouthwatering. The lamb is tender, like butter, and the sauces are divine. The cookies are a great treat to go as well. I can't say enough about the potatoes and the Greek salad either. Truly, anything you get here is delicious.
