We had never eaten at a Fatz but friends highly recommended it, so we tried it. This was on Friday, Feb.28th about 3PM. No crowd at this time of day. Just like we like it! We were greeted by a friendly staff member who seated us at a very comfortable booth. Even my husband remarked how nice the decor was, and how clean everything was. We both had the chopped steak with an excellent mushroom sauce that was perfect. Both of our steaks were cooked exactly as we wanted and very tender and flavorful. We each had baked potato and a crisp cold salad. Excellent quality. The rolls with cinnamon butter were great. Our server, Sarah, was very friendly, efficient and checked on us just enough for good service, but not too much to annoy like some restaurants do. The manager stopped by to check if everything was okay. We asked about the origin of the restaurant name Fatz, and one of the employees got another employee who knew exactly the history of it. Very interesting. Also, important..the music was not too loud. It was just the right volume to enjoy but be peaceful enough for us to have a good conversation All the staff were friendly and professional. We will be back, for sure.
