The grilled cheese, turnip greens, iced tea & home-made coconut cake were all very good. The cake even had authenic 7 Minute Frosting, instead of the usual crappy whipped cream frosting used at most places. We did not order the french fries, smoked chicken or the fried cornbread, but they looked good. The pulled pork was not good. It was swimming in a sweet BBQ sauce. A big no-no for us. The service was slow and the place looked on the dirty side, with all the clutter of pictures on the walls and the antiques and knick knacks in the dining room. Who dusts all that stuff? Probably no one. It made me wonder if the kitchen was clean. We would go there again, but would not go out of our way.
