After a 1-2 minute walk down a path from the road, you step onto a beach that is like no other beach you have seen. Entire treas have been toppled and lie all along the beach. The beach is a great spot for photographs.

“Romantic and Serene”
Reviewed 31 July 2014

I agree with Janet...

"there's no place like Driftwood Beach in Georgia. It's peaceful and enchanting and mysterious...just downright beautiful. Beautiful wedding destination, family photo opportunity, picnic spot, or beach trip!"

Do not miss this beach. You will regret it.

“Hidden Treasure”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

This is a secluded spot on Jekyll Island that is very peaceful and serene. Great spot for photography and making memories with your family. This is a beautiful island with lots of wildlife and folks riding bikes! Be careful and have fun!! We went to experience the Shrimp & Grits Festival and came upon this gorgeous site by accident. Don't miss it, it's beautiful.

“Unlike anything you have ever seen”

This beach is like stepping into a different world. Amazingly, there are not usually many people on the beach which makes the experience of walking among the fallen trees even more special.

“Awesome scenery!”
Reviewed 28 July 2014

Driftwood Beach is the highlight of our yearly trip. We just love coming here and walking around, taking pictures and seeing all the different sea life. It's isolated so there is never more than a handful of people walking around at any given time. Just make sure the tide is out!

We have explored and found dozens and dozens of sand dollars and HUGE conch shells on one visit. Mermaid's Purses that house shark eggs and skates on another. Blue crabs running the beach and hermit crabs as well as shrimp. Our daughter loves all the nature that is on Driftwood Beach that we can just explore or relax for hours.

Climbing the old oaks scattered on the beach makes for some really great photos as well. I have seen a wedding take place in one of the old oaks and it was just beautiful. So if you are on the island, don't let this little honey hole pass you by.

To get there, you will see cars pulled off to the side of the road before you reach the campground on the left. There are no signs that say "Driftwood Beach". Just pull over, park on the side of the road and walk through the dense landscape on the paths that will lead you to the beach. It's about a 2-3 minute walk. You won't be disappointed!

Have fun!
