“Friendly staff, homemade food and dog friendly”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 March 2014

We ate here on a Saturday lunchtime with friends and were made to feel extremely welcome. Our dog, too, was welcomed and the owner/manager took the time to talk about dogs with us which I think was a lovely touch.

Our friends had the BBQ pull pork sandwich and my husband had the homemade burger and there wasn't a clean plate in sight, it was delicious and obviously homemade due to the quality.

They told us in plenty of time that they close at 3pm but we were chatting and didn't realise that it had gone past 3pm but we weren't rushed out at all so you cannot fault the place for its friendliness.

“Just Curry Networking group goes to The Royal Oak”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 January 2014

Usually as the name suggests we head to Curry Houses for our networking meetings but the Royal Oak at Clatford contacted us and put on 8 different curries for us especially for the occasion.

I have to say I LOVE a good curry and WOW - this was, not good, but excellent. So much flavour. Our meals all arrived together dispute there being a large group.

A lovely meal with good service and a lovely venue too. Look forward to coming back in the summer when we can sit outside on a warm evening.

Thanks
Bunny

“An excellent pre-Christmas family lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 January 2014

Christmas Eve lunch for eight of us plus one in a high chair was very good and not as expensive as we expected for a set two or three course meal. Very good value and one diner said the lamb cutlets were the best she had ever had!
