Great evening enjoyed at the Royal Oak, choice of specials as well as the main menu. Very pleasent staff, services was good and food was excellent. Good food, but now over expensive. Plenty of off road parking and outdoor eating area.

Staff very welcoming and service excellent. Great choice of food and Sunday roasts were good. Food was served quickly, it was hot and the veg were not overcooked. Good portions so only one of us managed a pud, which was enjoyed!
Thank you.

We chose the Royal Oak as it was a god place to meet a friend driving from Dorset, as we were coming from Oxfordshire.
It was an excellent choice. We arrived just as they were opening but were greeted cheerfully by the staff and shown to our reserved table. We asked for coffee before having lunch, to recover from driving in holiday traffic and this was brought very quickly.
The Specials Board had a number of lovely sounding dishes, but mindful of having to cook for those left behind, in the evening, we chose 2 dishes that offered small portions, and a vegetable pasta. All were hot, tasty, fresh and well presented.
The dessert menu was very enticing, so we asked our waitress if we could have 2 puddings and 3 plates, which she was happy to provide.
On the way I had asked my friend why she had booked as it was a Tuesday, but we were really glad she had. The restaurant filled up very quickly but the service and the cheeriness of the staff did not suffer.
An excellent choice and a delightful lunch. Thank you.

We'll, we can't recommend this pub enough! We are locals so who better to tell you how good it is. We eat here fairly often. With family and friends. Love the quiz night which is an amazing atmosphere and the hosts are extremely welcoming with brilliant banter. Kate will do her best to accommodate special requests. Love the menu lots of local suppliers of produce. Had the Christmas menus many times that can get 'tired' but all the pubs do at that time. No real criticism of that. Love it. Go there. They have a lovely garden it sit in and then go across the road to the river. Enjoy. We do!!!!!! Thanks mike and Kate. From the dawsons. Oh and we are going this eve too!!!!
