We recently stayed at the Old Parsonage, with a very warm welcome on arrival made us feel at ease right away, and with the offer of coffee or tea as well, this got our weekend stay off to a great start.
Over coffee Charlotte gave us detailed information of the area, such as where to eat which included the old station inn which was excellent by the way.
At breakfast Brian asked about our plans for the day we had planned a day in Bath he recommended the park and ride... very easy (good call Brian).
The Old Parsonage has a history dating back many 100's of years, and it retains all its old character whilst being a warm and comfortable place to stay. Our room was large and welcoming, and also very clean, above all the house is very quiet which gave us a very good night's sleep. Breakfast was delicious, plenty of choice, during Sunday breakfast we were given ideas by Brian about where to go and what to do on our way home. All in all, a great few days away.
The Old Parsonage is an excellent base for exploring the area and we would highly recommend staying there. We felt as though we had stepped back to a place of quiet and calm.
We will be back.More
