The room seemed a little warm when we got there so we just turned down the thermostat and got ready for bed... Room still seemed a little warm so we kicked off the covers... It seemed to get hotter and hotter... My husband got up to look at thermostat a couple of time. It was in mid 70s by midnight, by 2am it was into the 80s a little after 4am we could not stand it any longer and called front desk. It was 88 degrees! She moved us to a different room. I called Hotels.com the next morning and they called the manager. Holiday Inn Express would not refund the room so Hotels.com gave me a credit for 1/2 the cost toward future booking... Management called to say their night manager did not know how to reset HVAC system but room was fine now... I said that would not have helped me after the majority of the night was spent tossing in the heat... She said her hands were tied because we booked through third party but she could open an account with their rewards system and comp us some bonus points... I ask her how many points were required for a free night and she dodged the question saying it depended on when and where... I said here tonight... She squirmed and said she really didn't know... I am pretty sure she did know it was more than...More
