We ate here with two friends recently. Coming from the hospitality industry, they are very discerning.
Seated at a window, we overlooked the view of Killarney Lakes that is famous the world over. We were there on a sunny evening, so the clarity of light was fantastic, which enhanced this most beautiful view.
Staff were very VERY good. We asked for the wine list, to choose a white to have as aperitif. The wine waiter found us a really good one, which was very reasonable.
I asked for a glass of red to have with my main of lamb. On tasting it, the other three decided they also wanted to try the red, which was excellent and again, very reasonably priced.
Our food was superb: two of us had lamb, and one pork and one hake. All were pronounced excellent.
The pudding I chose was fabulous: a baked souffle with peanut brittle with ice toffee icecream. Needless to say, my companion helped me eat it!
It was just a really good experience. If you are in Killarney, then do please try to go there - just for a drink (there is a piansit at weekends) or to sample their food at lunchtime, or for dinner.]
You won't regret it.
