What a welcome relief from all the fast food chain options! We ate here twice, on our way down and back from FL. The dinners were such an outstanding value. For less than $10, a complete entree plus 2 sides, including yummy hot rolls that taste like homemade, plus a complimentary starter of the best homemade cream of celery soup I have ever eaten and a small relish tray.
The meals are like mom (who was a great cook) used to make, both in composition and quality; some are recipes from the original Perry Inn cookbook. This is not fast food, it is an elegant historic dining room with tablecloths and fresh flowers, in a historic old inn. But the service was prompt and attentive. The only drawback was that we were kind of lonely, since there were very few other patrons there. This inn is under new management, and I hope locals and tourists will give it a try so that it can survive. It's 5 minutes off the interstate in "downtown" Perry, and well worth taking the time to find.
