Fascinating guided tour with most knowledgeable guide for just the two of us. They have library with genealogical records and early colonial history.

You can learn a lot about the history of our little town here! And having the Forrest Gump bench is nice, bringing some Savannah tourists our way.

We've lived in Richmond Hill for many years and recently visited this museum for the first time. I can't think of why we waited. There are very many interesting exhibits and we enjoyed our time here.

We mostly went there just to see the Forest Gump bench, but found lots more very historical things. We enjoyed it very much

The docent that was there is a volunteer and actually had his early model Ford parked in front, so that made the visit even better. Richmond Hill literally would not be here if it wasn't for Ford's vision and the money that he invested in the community. The admission is free and it is definitely worth a stop if you have some time to browse. Lots of artifacts and antiques and in the back rooms. I personally enjoy the 'then and now' aspect of historical buildings, so found it very intersting. It's basically self-guided, but the docent is happy to answer any qestions you may have. The building was originally used as a kindergarten class for the children back in the 1930s. The barber shop on the premesis is authentic and original (and very musty, so if you have allergies, you may not want to check it out) and was moved there from its original location of Hwy 17 and Ford Ave. Check it out if you have some time!
