Go and enjoy a relaxing time at this historical park. The view of the water is beautiful and there are multiple spots to just sit and enjoy the scenery. Lots of birds, squirrels and deer run freely throughout the park as you enjoy the shade of the big, beautiful trees. A place for learning history yes, but very relaxing as well.

Came here for a visit with my wife and two children and had a very nice time. Learned a whole lot about this settlement that I did not know before. The visitors center has a short movie that explains the history of the area very well. The park itself has a lot of beautiful live oaks all throughout the area and many signs detailing the homes that were here. Prices to visit were very reasonable. Nice way to spend a couple of hours learning about the history of the area and seeing a beautiful part of the island.

Fantastic junior ranger program! Best we have experienced in the historical parks. Kids get dressed up in period attire and are sent off on an adventure in the town to deliver a dispatch to capt demere while meeting townsfolk on the way and preparing the town for an attack from the Spanish. Kids have to use a whole kit of items from the time period. Lots of fun and very informative.

We biked out to the National Monument from the lighthouse area parking lot. Fort Ferderica is very interesting and well maintained, a must see when you visit St Simons.
