This is another area with great history. The movie in the main is very well done. Lots of interesting remains of homes and items used during that time. The old canons still in place next to remains of fort.

I found this place fascinating. You can see the foundations of the town that was built up around the fort and lots of artifacts found on the site. We spent about an hour and a half there. Wear comfortable shoes as you will be walking a lot.

The movie was really informative and gave you a glance of what the fort looked like during it's time period. Not much left of the actual ruin but it was still set up with the streets that existed. Very inexpensive trip for a family!

I am a history buff, so this place was up my alley. There is not a lot left of the original fort, but you can see where the walls once stood. Inside the fort was an entire city with businesses and houses. The former streets are all laid out , as well as the foundations of the old building with depictions of what the houses looked like, the families that lived in them and their occupations in the fort.

Quite a few old building frames, There isn't much left of the Fort, but it's still interesting to see how it was once set up. There was a simple town built behind it. There were once barracks and and an units ready to fight at a moment's notice to protect the land from the Spanish. Great walk, recommend you try to do it in the Fall, when the weather is a lot less cruel.
