Meehan
s was a pleasant find on our trip to Atlanta. Good food, music, and staff. Try to get Conan to be your bartender. Must try the bacon wrapped figs stuffed with goat cheese. I ordered them twice they were so good

“Meehan's Public House”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 January 2013

In the area for week-end visit. Had our fill of the typical intentionally aggressive "my day is way more important than yours" drivers. Rx came as adult beverage and short snack. Meehan's faithfully accomplished both tasks in fashion. Quick and competent service, excellent beer choices are available. A very nice menu presented as well as their signature fish and chips. A welcome break on a Saturday afternoon.

“Great service, great food.”

Our waiter was very good and informative. The food we had (fish tacos and kale salad) was very good. We enjoyed it very much.

“Irish pub FTW”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 September 2012 via mobile

Authentic Irish pub.... Beer selection is awesome. I didn't have any food but I feel like the people around us enjoyed it. My friend and I sat at the bar and were well attended to by "Linda" good times... Definitely check this place out.

“Depends on timing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 September 2012

We were in Atlanta for Dragon Con and a ball game so the city was struggling to accommodate probably 100,000 people at the minimum between both events. Having said that, Meehan's was the place we kept coming back to and for the first three nights, it was a good place to be. The atmosphere is great Irish Pub, the decor is dark and traditional and intricate. It is fairly loud and the televisions play sports all day which is good or bad depending on why you're there. The food and beer were all worth the price (slightly high, but you're downtown; it's typical). The only common issue was that service, though friendly enough, was slow. It got worse as the place clogged up with convention and game people and on Sunday, after three days of being busy enough to pop, they started to run out of things. We cut some slack for it being Labor Day and no deliveries were coming in but it would have been nice if they'd let us know details like the fish and chips wouldn't be served with tartar sauce because they ran out of tartar sauce. Given small issues like that, they still had good food--the selection was gone but they didn't degrade on preparation. So if you aren't in a hurry to get somewhere and it isn't Labor Day weekend, Meehan's is worth a stop.
