This hotel is the former Jameson Inn. We have stayed here several times throughout the years. It has been slightly renovated with new carpet and granite countertops, but the original vinyl wallpaper is still on the walls. The beds are comfortable enough. There is a pool. Breakfast choices are limited but you can make Belgian waffles and have a boiled egg. If you have to stay in Thomaston, this is probably the best place.
On our last visit we requested a non-smoking room and while the room we were given had a non-smoking sign outside the door, there was a lot of stale smoke in the room. We notified the front desk and were assigned to another room in the back building which was clean. We noticed that one of the cleaning staff members smoked outside the rooms while cleaning them and kept an ashtray on her cleaning supply cart.More
