We stayed 3 nights this last week. The place was great. Rooms were nice. Breakfast was great. I've never met an owner who tried so hard to make the stay enjoyable for the guest. The list of extras would be long. Bicycle for town, beach towels, chairs, food ect. Anything you could think of or just plain forgot at home, they will have. If you go away from their complaining it might be that good vacations are not your thing.

My wife and I booked a room with a partial view of the ocean at a popular hotel in Tybee. The partial view was correct, what they failed to mention was that the room had so much deodorizer sprayed into the carpets, my wife could hardly breathe. We even tried to leave the patio door wide open to air it out, but to no avail. To the credit of the hotel staff, they did find us another room albeit with a much poorer view.
We decided to check out a B&B, even though we had never stayed at one. The first was quite nice, but we did find some air freshener in use with a slight fragrance. The second was the Beachview. We were shown two rooms and decided on the Private's Quarters.
The room was just like the rest of the inn: historical charm, intersting architecture, and friendly staff. ANd no perfumey air freshener to mask a smelly carpet -- just historic hardwoods here.
Karen is great, as is the chef that prepares breakfast -- really delicious.

We made a last minute change on a Friday of a summer weekend and were so lucky that Karen was able to accommodate us. Thank you. We will definitely come back.

We planned to stay two nights at this beautiful place, but added an extra night because we just couldn't stand to leave. We stayed in the Oceanview Room and it was perfect for us. Fabulous food and wine, wonderful bed, and beautiful veranda just outside our room. Really enjoyed learning about the history of the house and the story of its restoration. Best of all, though, were the people we met there - both staff and guests. It was a wonderful healing experience.

I went here looking for peace just after my husband died. Although the rooms were lovely, and the porches were tranquil, what struck me most was the loving attention of the owner Karen and cook Jan. When Karen says "make yourself at home", she means it. They provided everything we needed. Food was fabulous as was care and attention.

Ladies- Maybe your husband or sweetheart is like me- suspicious of B & Bs. Tell them I loved this place. It's clean and quiet and classy. Not like a lot of B&Bs which remind you of staying at Granny's place. Nothing romantic about that if you ask me.

Frank and Karen are great hosts. Very personable but also respectful. At some B & Bs, the hosts act like you came there to visit them. Nothing romantic about that if you ask me.

Charming place and great breakfasts!

What a fantastic hidden jewel we discovered on Tybee Island when we checked into the Beachview Bed and Breakfast. Greeted by possibly the warmest welcome team, we immediately felt at ease and comfort after a very long trip as Frank and Karen allowed us early check-in into a presidential suite of romance. The Beachview offered not only a very clean and beautiful vacation rental, but it offered a home away from home, as well. Each morning started with a delicious assortment of breakfast delights, while throughout the day, small extra consolations, such as beach towels and chairs and sweet snacks, were provided so that we could just enjoy our day. Down to the smallest detail, Karen had planned how to make the most of our stay, offering her best recommendations and accommodations. She truly loves Tybee and the Beachview, and that passion is exuded in the Beachview’s essence.

I have yet to even mention the flawless wedding ceremony she arranged for us. When talking with Karen, we planned for a very simple and intimate elopement ceremony, and what she created was just that with a twist of enchantment. Just as with her bed and breakfast, she planned down to the least detail, capturing the “small” things and the fabulous memories they make. Karen arranged and scheduled everything; we only had to show up dressed and ready to say, “I do.” No stress, no planning, no fretting; she worked behind the scenes so that we could experience a magical Tybee wedding. From the gorgeous flowers to the charming sunset beach ceremony to the fun photographer pair, Karen planned everything perfectly, better than we ever could have planned ourselves.

Karen and Frank embody the heart of “Southern Hospitality.”

Karen was such a gracious hostess. The restoration of this beautiful house is amazing. The room was spacious & very clean. We were served breakfast after hours....The breakfast was out of this world delicious and presented beautifully. Everything was perfect! Southern hospitality at its finest!

Room Tip: Loved Mary's suite. It was private.
