“Nice Little Aquarium/Museum”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 October 2013

Our kids, my wife, and I really enjoyed this small but informative museum. It's a nice way to start out or finish up a day at the Tybee Island beach. They have quite a few local, native species of fish, turtles, and gators. The staff is very friendly and informative. The building itself is pretty basic, but the displays are very interesting. Just don't expect a huge commercial aquarium. This is clearly a small, non-profit museum that could use the few dollars in admission they charge. Decent gift shop, too!

“Tybee Island Marine Science Center”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 October 2013

My husband and I really enjoyed the Science Center on Tybee! I loved seeing all of the fish (especially the seahorses!) and the $4.00 fee was well worth it!
This would be a great place to take kids who are interested in marine life; I'm definitely going to take my son in the future!

This is a small but very informative marine center. A lot of interesting information and exhibits on sea turtles. Good for adults and kids.

“Always neat to visit.”

Right on the beach, interesting to see. Get to see a variety of marine life and get to hear about what is being done to preserve the ocean life in this area.

“Worth a visit if you've got kids”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 September 2013

We've been going to the Marine Center for probably 10 years now, maybe longer. My kids (18 and 16) still enjoy going. It's not a complete vacation until we hit the Breakfast club and the Marine Center on the same morning. It is informative and you can have some hands on time with some of the creatures of the sea.
