“Heavenly honeymoon and perfectly equipped little cottage!”
Reviewed 22 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

GREAT!!! Awesome owners! We enjoyed the cottage and the privacy. We had everything we could need and the view of the moon at night through the high window topped it all off perfectly!

Reviewed 10 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Perfect for our small mother-daughter getaway. Ron & Leuveda were very hospitable making our stay comfortable & enjoyable. We will be back as soon as we can to enjoy the ocean & back water beach as well as the comforts of this adorable cottage.

“Peaceful, centrally located, relaxing spot on Tybee Island”

We stayed at the Twin Palm Cottage for our honeymoon and it was perfect. A 5 minute walk to the beach, on a quiet street but in walking distance to everything. The bikes provided got us to everywhere we needed to go. We loved biking all around the island! Our hosts were wonderful, kind, and very helpful. The access to the outdoor shower and patio was great. We had privacy and never felt unsafe where the cottage was located on the island. The space is a cozy one, perfect for one or two people. We can't say enough great things about the cottage, we'd go back in a heartbeat.

“The Perfect Home Away From Home”

From early morning coffee on the screened front porch to reading a book on the little, intimate back porch, and everything in between, this was a perfect place for us. We loved the simplicity of an all-in-one room...great bed, little corner kitchen with lots of niceties provided...coffee and creamer, different kinds of tea, a welcoming package of muffins and fruit. The bathroom was quaint with it's old-fashioned bathtub and funky sink, but all the necessities were there, especially the soft towels! The dressing nook was so cute, but all I needed.

I loved that I could walk one block to the Back River and photograph the sunset every evening, drive a few blocks to A.J.'s for a great seafood dinner, take off in the morning and in four blocks stand on the beach and watch the sunrise.

Great host and hostess, lovely accommodations in every way. I would highly recommend a stay at Twin Palms.

“A Dream”
Reviewed 9 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We stayed at Leuveda and Ron's beautiful Twin Palms Cottage and loved every single moment. The perfect location, quiet and relaxing yet close to the beach, river and main strip. It really was a dream stay; away from the hustle and bustle of living in London, we were sad to leave and would happily stay forever! Leuveda and Ron are so welcoming and we would very much love to return! Lucy and Lewis.

“Perfect Honeymoon Cottage”
Reviewed 15 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

My new husband and I rented Twin Palms Cottage for a short honeymoon on Tybee Island. We knew from the pictures and previous reviews that this would be a quaint little place to rest and relax in, but we had no idea how perfect it would truly be. From the moment we stepped on the front porch, we felt at home. This little cottage was absolutely adorable and very very well done. Every detail was taken into careful consideration. We had muffins, fruit, coffee, milk and OJ waiting for us, and after hearing that is was our honeymoon, we were given a bottle of champagne to celebrate. We spent several hours on our little porch drinking coffee every morning and with a glass of wine every night. The location was also wonderful as we were around the corner from an entrance onto the back river, walking distance to AJ's for dinner, and a short bike ride (the cottage came with two bikes) to anything else we could possible want or need. Ron was also very friendly and offered to help is any way upon our arrival. We will certainly stay here again next time we find ourselves on Tybee and will greatly miss our perfect little cottage at the beach!

Liked best: Quaint and cozy without feeling cramped, and loved the front porch
Liked least: Although the claw foot shower/tub fit perfectly with the decor, it was difficult to climb in and out of and would certainly be tough for someone older or who had limited mobility

“The Best Little Cottage on Tybee”
Reviewed 26 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

For the first time, i took a solo mini-vacation seeking rest, relaxation, and peacefulness in a safe environment. Well, Twin Palms Cottage is all of that and more. Owners, Leuveda and Ron, are the kindest, most gracious, accommodating hosts you can imagine. I could not have dreamed up a more pleasant experience.
The small cottage, which is perfect for one or two people, is beautifully decorated in vintage style, and as clean as can be. Nothing has been overlooked in creating this cottage heaven. There is a wonderful little vintage sink/stove combination, refrigerator, a grill, and everything you need in the kitchen area.
A basket of fruit and muffins awaited me upon arrival, along with juice and milk, bottled waters, coffee, teas, and candy. There is a radio, CD player and TV (which i never turned on). I found the bed to be very plush and comfortable with beautiful, high quality linens and lots of soft pillows.
The bathroom has plenty of plush white towels and a claw foot tub with shower, a vintage wash stand, and a darling separate dressing room/closet, fully equipped! Leuveda does not boast her decorating skills, but i tell you, she is the best.
Although, the weather was a little cool and rainy, which is normal for March, i was able to enjoy the lovely front porch with its beautiful vintage furnishings.
Right across the street is access to the back beach, and the ocean is a nice walk away. Bicycles are available for guest's use.
AJ's dockside Restaurant is a block up the street on the water, and is a friendly place to go for brunch, lunch and dinner. There are many restaurants and shops within walking distance, but the cottage is in a lovely quiet residential area. Leuveda and Ron live next door and are right there if there is anything you need.
I can absolutely say that the entire experience exceeded my expectations and made for a wonderful solo vacation. I felt like i was among family or old friends. It was so nice, in fact, that i went ahead and booked several days in June!
For one or two guests, this is THE best place on Tybee!
