“Blown Away”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 March 2014

I know — Blown Away and Best Western in the same breath? I wouldn't expect it either. This hotel was more like I have come to expect from Marriott Courtyard or the likes. I read the reviews here and booked a room the same day for $90 (including tax) expecting a typical (clean, quiet, adequate) Best Western experience. But when I walked in the place was plush, the room was huge (for a BW) with a small kitchen with a table, a sitting area with a couch, and a walk in shower. The place was fairly new, well maintained, and staffed with good people. In the morning there was a full breakfast and hot, fresh coffee around the clock. This is not your typical BW.

Room Tip: This was the best value in a hotel I've had in years.

The décor was very well done. Friendly staff. Comfortable clean room. Had a small refrigerator with a separate freezer. Full size microwave, swivel TV on the wall. It could be watched from the bed or sofa. Small table & chairs also in room as well as some cabinets and a 2nd sink. A plus for us was a walk in shower. The acoustics were not good. You could hear people walking above and blurred conversations in the next room as well as doors closing in the hallway. The A/C was an older model and noisy but not so bad any of it kept us awake. Breakfast was wonderful. 2 selections of sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits, sausage gravy, pancakes, grits, fruit salad, clementines, banana's, cereal, & Danish, etc, etc. Very hot & very good.

If you want to experience the ultimate in comfort and fantastic surroundings, stay at Best Western Suites in Valdosta, Georgia. The rooms are large and contain full-sized refrigerators, stove, microwave, coffee maker, and kitchen sink. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the breakfast, which is included is delicious. It is conveniently located right off I-75. Will definitely stay there if I am ever in that area again.

I have stayed at the Best Western PLUS in Valdosta three times in the last year. From beginning to end, each stay was relaxing, comfortable, and easy. If you are looking for a pool, workout room, and great breakfast spread, look no further. If you want a bar and restaurant, you're going to have to drive down the road a mile or two where there are several options. The hotel is clean, clean, clean. The staff is highly motivated and attentive. Come to think of it, I don't want you folks taking all the rooms....look somewhere else!!!!!!

This is our 3rd time staying at the Best Western Plus Valdosta, Georgia. The staff are so kind and helpful, the hotel and rooms are always clean and fresh, and the breakfast ... well, there just isn't any better way to start the day off with their breakfast options that is always so tasty good!!! Normally the beds are oh so comfortable, but this time I would only rate it very good instead of excellent; still slept like a baby and refreshed in the morning!

My teenage daughter and I stayed in this hotel on our way home from Florida. Our room was a suite with a lovely kitchen, breakfast bar, living room, and bedroom with two queen beds and bathroom. It was much more than we needed, but it was all that was available so late at night. However, the room was a good value at $96. It was an extremely nice, clean, well-decorated and appointed room. The kitchen area had a small breakfast table and a bar that had several very nice, tall chairs. Both the living room and bedroom had flat screen televisions.

Our only disappointment--and it's admittedly a teeny one--was a lack of implements/plates to eat with. (We ordered pizza and had to use wash clothes as napkins/plates.) Actually, I mention the lack of implements to indicate how large the kitchen area is. It had a fridge, microwave, sink, etc., and tons of counter space and cupboards. I think that's why we expected to find it fully stocked with plates, cups, etc. It was that nice.

We did not get a chance to eat breakfast at the hotel, because we slept in. However, the staff was extremely pleasant, and the breakfast room was very nice, so we assume the breakfast was decent, too.

This easily was the nicest Best Western I've ever stayed in. I tend to think of Best Western as an economy hotel, so expect only the basics (and usually with a tired decor). This hotel was quite a surprise. The actual experience more closely resembled a Hilton Garden Inn, or other hotels in that price range.

Room Tip: We had a corner room, and it was extremely quiet.

there is not enough time to express about this visit. This hotel went over and beyond what hotwire didnt or wouldnt do. I was so pleased that I booked a block of 10 rooms for a return visit in Sept 2014 and the hotel managment staff was more then willing to help me out
