My husband and I stopped in on our way from Tampa to Atlanta for an overnight stay. After reading the reviews on Tripadvisor, we decided that it would be more fun to stay at a B and B than a chain hotel. We researched the restaurants in the area and made our road trip not a drudgery but a really fun experience. The proprietors of this B & B make you feel like you have just driven up to the home of a relative that has been anticipating your arrival. The home is impeccably maintained, decorated, and stocked with beautiful antiques of all kinds, including 60 year old Life Magazines which you are encouraged to enjoy. Our breakfast was served to us in the kitchen on a huge wooden table in front of a crackling fire. The dinner at 306 North was nothing short of perfect. I enjoyed this little stop over so much that I think I will try and talk my Atlanta based sister and her husband into joining us there for a little mini vacation one night.

My husband and I were in Valdosta for a family reunion. We decided to give this B&B a try and were delighted! The Inn is a large, beautiful house, which has been lovingly restored and updated by the owners, Linda and Irvin. Linda has a gift for decorating and each room has its own theme, filled with antiques. Irvin is proud of the work he did himself on the house and pointed out that he and Linda stayed at other B&Bs to see what they wanted in theirs. Some of these important features are: a private bath in each room, separate heating/AC zones for each room, TVs, etc.

Linda and Irvin were very accommodating and helpful, but also knew when to let us have our privacy. The breakfasts in the morning were incredible and huge! Cheesy grits, biscuits, fruit and more.

We will definitely stay here again when we're back in the area and highly recommend it.

Spent the weekend of Nov 30-Dec 2nd at the Fairview Inn. It's a lovely old home lovingly restored by the owners. The Inn is decorated throughout with antiques and other interesting items. When I was there it was decorated very nicely for Christmas.
I stayed in the two-room suite, which was very comfortable. There were nice views in two directions. The bed and other furniture were quite comfortable and made me feel at home.
The owners were very interested in making sure I was happy with the room and my stay there. They were more than accomodating with my late arrival and need to leave some things in my room until early afternoon on checkout day. We had delicious breakfast both mornings I was there.
The price of my room was certainly reasonable. I would definitely recommend the Fairview Inn for a stay in Valdosta.

A few weeks ago I traveled to Quitman, GA, for my best friend's wedding. I work at a B&B in St Augustine FL and wanted to experience another inn. I found the Fairview Inn on the internet and the prices and accomodations were very reasonable. The inn is located in Valdosta, GA, which was only about 15 minutes from Quitman and closer than any other B&B around.
I checked in on October 18th and was thrilled at the sight of the inn. The Innkeeper met me at the door and showed me around. Everything inside was immaculate, the wood was polished and shining and there was not a speck of dust anywhere.
The house was built in the Victorian style and the 15 foot ceilings and dark wood was breathtaking. My room was on the second floor with a queen sized bed and a private bath. The room was very cozy, but not too small. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean very clean. Unfortunately for me I did not get to experience breakfast, as I was there for a wedding and was kept up until all hours of the night by my friends :) The innkeeper was understanding about that, and I hope that when I return I will be able to partake of the morning goodies.
I highly recommend this inn to anyone traveling to or through Valdosta or Quitman.
