“overpriced but pleasant stay!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 September 2012

Vidalia is the type of town where you either pay a little extra or stay in a craphole! I was in town for golf tournament at hawks point. Its only 10 mins from hotel. I also travel with 2 dogs and they are pet friendly. $20 a night. They will not bargain with pet fee or nightly rate. Rooms are clean and they have a great breakfast in a.m! Little trail for walking dogs if you walk directly behind hotel. For the room i think i overpaid but peace of mind is what i was paying for bc the ratty hotels in town are not safe! Hotel clerks are very pleasant and helpful! Great little fitness center too with ellipitical and treadmill!

I travel 100% of the time, thus, staying in a comfortable hotel with loads of ammenities is very important to me. I want a hotel/motel to serve as 'Home away from home', and the Quality Inn is just that! The service was excellent, and the staff treated me like family. I travel back and forth to QI and home each week, and will not choose another hotel. Additionally, I travel with my best friend, my beloved little miniature Schnauzer, and he just loves it. They save the same room for us each week, therefore, he is comfortable just like he's coming back home. Thank you, QI, for All you do!

Room Tip: Pet friendly, easily accessible location, and wonderful staff! They go above and beyond to make you...

Clean room and waffles, sausage, eggs for breakfast (plus standard continental breakfast items). Pleasant staff. Clean room. Low ceiling in our tiny bathroom.

We were in town for a wedding and stayed at the Quality Inn & Suites for 2 nights.

Pros:
-Free breakfast until 10am (practically empty both days I went). It included: cereal, milk, juice, coffee, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, toast, muffins, bagels & cream cheese, a waffle maker, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs in the fridge, select fruits and possibly a few others that I can't recall at the moment.
-Extremely comfortable bedding
-Good water pressure in the shower
-Free parking
-Free wifi
-Huddle House located in front of the hotel (walking distance)
-Room came with Mini fridge & coffee maker
-Pool (I did not get the chance to visit)

Cons:
-Costs extra for a King bed
-Walls are very thin
-We had a room facing the highway and could hear every single car that drove past.
-The bathroom was very small. The door would scrape the toilet every time you opened it to go in & out.
-Shower/Tub had very skinny corner ledges (not sure what to call it exactly). Only my really tiny travel sized shampoo would fit. If you are bringing regular sized shampoo/body wash, it won't fit on the ledge and you'd have to set it on the bathroom floor outside of the tub.
-Hardly any phone service out there (Sprint)
-$80 per night

Room Tip: Choose a room towards the back of the hotel and away from the highway!

Typical two story outside access hotel bought from another chain. Renovated very nicely. No evelator to second floor. Very clean. We had a very comfortable king sized bed that came with four pint-sized pillows. If you are a pillow person, you'll need to go ask for more at the front desk. We did. No problem, but they should really buy some mopre substatial pillows. Fridge and microwave. Shower AOK. Staff very friendly. Behind Huddle House and car wash. If you want quiet, you'd best ask for a room on the backside. The a/c fan can be turned on though, which whites out all outside noise. Breakfast a bit spartan but good enough - scrambled eggs, sausage patties, waffles, or cereal. No yougurt or fruit, except for bananas. Hard boiled eggs. Assorted breads and a couple types of muffins. No danishs or anything liek that.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in back if you need it to be real quiet to sleep.

Everyting in the room worked, everything was clean and in good repair, and there were enough supplies. I asked for an extra towell, and was immediately given one. The mattress seemed to have a wonderful cushy topper, thick enough to be comfortable, but thin enough to have the support of the mattress below it. Breakfast was make your own waffles, a crowd pleaser, sausage, scrambled eggs and the usual continental offerings. A big plus was that all the cold goods were kept in a glass refrigerator on the counter. So happy to see all the perishables kept safe! The pool was still shut as the health inspector had not been to make the inspection yet.

Room Tip: Double (2 double beds) cost a little less than 1 king, and they accept AAA and other discounts.

2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 March 2012

My wife and I stayed a night at the Quality Inn in Vidalia on March 6, 2012; it was not a great experience. We called and made reservations on the way to Vidalia and asked for a king bed/non smoking room. Upon checking into the room we noticed the smell of cigarette smoke masked by a cheap air freshener. The room also had two double beds instead of one king. I went to the office and told the desk clerk about the smell; she gave me a can of air freshener and asked me to try it and see if it would help the odor. We gave the air freshener a try but decided to ask for a different room. I asked again for a king bed but she said none were available. We were moved to a different room on the front of the hotel. The walls are paper thin; you could easily hear truck traffic on the road beside the hotel and people snoring in the next room. After a night with little sleep, we decide to have some of their hot breakfast before checking out. The dining area had way too many flies and the food was not the best. The staff were friendly enough but we would have been better off to save our $80 and sleep in the car. None of the hotels look great in Vidalia but I would never recommend staying here.
