“Site spectacular; offerings limited”
Reviewed 19 August 2014

Located 20 minutes southwest of downtown, this is an absolutely spectacular site. It appears that during certain times of the season, the birds actually are out and about--especially with demonstrations. But when we were there (late summer), most birds were confined to cages and pretty inanimate. There was one short demonstration inside--with a very knowledgeable guide. If you're into birds, definitely go. If so-so, perhaps skip.

“Very Interesting”
Reviewed 27 July 2014

This place is outside of town and has a small number of displays. However, it is very interesting to see the birds, must of which were busy eating dead things while we were there.

There was good education programs available, and I appreciate that they are using the facility to help the birds survive in the wild.

A great place to stop on the way across Idaho. Wonderful to see all the birds, especially the California Condor. Fun and educational. Learn about their valuable bird rescue and breeding efforts.

Visited in June 2007.

“Worth it!”
Reviewed 17 July 2014

Birds of Prey is really fascinating and was better than expected. One of our kiddo’s is obsessed with birds so we knew we needed to add this stop to our Boise tour. We got lucky and arrived during a tour so we were able to see the art gallery and the Arab exhibit, and have a volunteer walking the property to answer questions. Learned a ton about the history of falconry. It really is worth a visit if you have a love of birds as this is quite a nice facility.
