Every experience we've had at this beautiful restaurant has been memorable. Although we prefer the warmth and intimacy of the dimly lit, warm bar, the restaurant is just as wonderful. The food is hot and reasonably priced, however, the amazingly friendly and professional wait staff bring it to the next level. Everything is delivered with a warm smile and an offer to make the experience even better. Winning combination!

We were there on Tuesday with our son and will return next Tuesday for my mothers 79th birthday celebration. Don't pass up this gem,

Bonefish Grill in Boise is a disappointing experience with mediocre food, service and atmosphere. For a better "chain restaurant" dining experience, you might as well go across the street to P.F. Chang's.

Being a solo business traveler I was placed in the bar for dinner. College kids dressed in black placed me at a bar booth and pitch the chain standard specials – crab cakes and Mahi Mahi. Being in Idaho, I was hoping for fresh trout – the restaurant is less than a mile for the Boise River. The server explained they had no fresh local fish on a Saturday night, only the corporate menu choices.

The Caesar Salad was wilted – it had clearly been prepared for the lunch crowd kept in a bucket and recycled for dinner. Nothing fresh about the salad, soaked in dressing. The Chilean Sea Bass in lemon butter seemed to have been poached in lemon butter (boil in a bag?) and was served in a quarter-inch of lemon butter oil. The greens were indistinguishable and also soaked in the oil that covered everything on the plate.

The lack of atmosphere or view make Bonefish Grill the TGI-Friday's of Boise. If you're looking for fresh local fish and atmosphere, this is not the place.

Last week we dined at Bonefish Grille during our Boise visit. . On the whole, the food was fairly good. My husband’s Tai noodles were good, but not great--not enough heat, even with some of the "hot" sauces they brought. My son had filet mignon which he said was done exactly as he had ordered it. I enjoyed the chicken Marsala. It was flavorful and moist. The wine list was extensive and featured some good bargains. My main concern was our waiter’s disappearing act. The restaurant was nearly deserted, but we had to wait overly long for the table to be cleared and our check delivered. Also, there was an overall lack of “buzz” that one would expect at a higher end place. For a chain restaurant, Bonefish is pretty good, but not great.

We only had one night in Boise and are glad we chose the Bonefish, a recommendation from our hotel clerk. The crispy coconut shrimp appetizers were great, as was the Pad Thai. The restaurant is Thai oriented, but there's something for everyone. We sat outside on the patio, and would recommend it if the weather's nice. Hard to go wrong here!

Yummy dinner but a tad pricey. Would only return if really in the mood for a fancy-ish fish dinner. Lots of good options and very good service.
