“Definitely worth trying”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 March 2014

I've had the opportunity to eat a buffet lunch and more recently dinner at Madhuban. My son told me about this restaurant and what a great place it is. I have enjoyed lunch and dinner there. The buffet lunch has an excellent selection of foods. Just trying to sample a little of everything was impossible because of the number of choices. My wife, son and daughter-in-law enjoyed dinner at Mahduban recently and tried the non-vegetarian dinner special, which included tandoori chicken, lamb curry, navratan korma, chana masala, raita, plain rice and garlic naans. We ordered not-too-hot, which turned out just right for us and everything was delicious. Luckily for us, we arrived before the dinner rush and were able to get seated without a reservation. It's not a large restaurant, so reservations are not a bad idea. I highly recommend this restaurant.

“Best Indian in Boise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 January 2014

This is a small space and can be crowded, but they do offer carryout. The degrees of spicy range from 1 to 5 and I have found there is a HUGE variation depending on who is cooking! Sometimes a 3 is totally mild and I wish I had gone 5; sometimes it is really spicy and I can't imagine eating a 4. Sometimes a 4 is so hot I can barely eat it, and other times it is not really spicy at all. So you never know - but it is totally worth taking a chance!!!

Once in awhile there is a dish that is only so-so, but most of the time the dishes are just divine and I find myself craving them over and over. Favorites are Chicken Korma and Shani Paneer, but there are soooo many good ones to choose from - and a lot of vegetarian offerings of course. If you get a spicy dish try coconut naan instead of garlic naan - it really works!

Non-descript strip mall location, and sometimes there is bad Bollywood music played just a tad too loud - but the food makes up for both. One of my favorite dine out options in Boise. Service is always prompt and attentive.

“Great Lunch Buffet”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 December 2013

Whenever I have a craving for Indian food, I go to this little local restaurant for their terrific lunch buffet. Much more funky than fancy, tables are close and tight together, and very busy so you may have a short wait. However, the buffet offers a vast array of Indian treats, from salads, lots of different curries, pan, multiple chicken and lamb dishes, goat, plenty of vegetarian dishes, and desserts. The very reasonable $7.95 per person is less than the cost of one dinner course and gives you the opportunity to sample a multitude of tasty items. Highly recommended.

“Gotta get back here soon!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 December 2013 via mobile

Delicious Indian food in a very unassuming location! Tiny restaurant in an older strip mall, but boy what a find. We had dinner here recently. Everything was really tasty. Chicken Biryani, samosa, naan...really good! Huge portions that are easily enough for two. The service was polite and attentive. The prices are a little on the high side for dinner, but the sheer amount of food makes it worthwhile. Go early as they fill up quick, very worth a try!

“Strip Mall Gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 November 2013

This is one of those great unassuming hole in the wall restaurants. The décor is funny, the space is crowded and there is often a wait, but if you want an authentic Indian experience, that is exactly what you will get. Fresh food for a great price.
