“Authentic Indian food.”

Food is very good and personal service is even better. My family loves naan, chicken and lamb dishes. We love going there.

“Solid”

A dependable if unspectacular Indian buffet. Average food that is extremely mild (too mild for my taste) in terms of spice. Service is outstanding.

“Is the dinner as bland as the lunch buffet?”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 April 2014

Having had a lot of good and great Indian food in my life, I was very disappointed with the lunch buffet at this highly rated restaurant in downtown Boise.

They had several somewhat below average dishes--primarily due to being somewhat bland compared to so many places I've dined at before...the masala dish and the biriyani were in this category.

But the real disappoint was in the butter chicken and the naan. The butter chicken being both comparatively bland and WATERY, and the naan having no flavor whatsoever and even a strange texture.

I do think the service was ok--typical of an Indian buffet, and the atmosphere was nice, so at least that wasn't bothersome.

All in all, if you're looking for good Indian in Boise, and if their lunch is any indication of the quality of their dinner, there is much better to be had.

“First Class”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 January 2014

From the minute we entered (late), we were treated like royalty. The owner/chef was very helpful and accommodating when helping us decide what to order. The recipes were typical North Indian and very good. Portions are large, so I recommend sharing "family style". It appeared to be a family run business and they all made an effort to show they cared about our experience, without "over serving". I ordered a lamb dish and asked for medium spice and it was at the very top end of medium, but that only served to slow me down and have something leftover to enjoy the next day. My date was vegetarian and amazed at the large variety of menu options. The wine and beer list is very limited, but I'm sure they would not mind if you brought your own bottle of wine. This is one of those places where you sincerely wish them all the best, because they deserve it.

“Good food and friendly service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 December 2013

I go here a couple times a month for lunch, because their lunch buffet is such a great deal and is always tasty. If you really want to get something delicious you need to venture away from that buffet and order off of the menu though. They make the buffet for Americans, no standouts or excellent spice flavors/complexity I associate with Indian food, but still quite good. Their Naan is kinda bland too, it's just okay. Totally recommend.
