“Best value for your dollar & PETS are FREE!”
Reviewed 21 November 2013

Rooms are very clean but a bit spartan. Smokers go upstairs, pets or no, so beware. Also, coffee in lobby ONLY, and soap & plastic cups are all you get in the room. Staff is wonderful-very understanding and professional. There's a Denny's across the street, and a restaurant/lounge called the Kopper Kitchen next door. At the time, both were offering discounts for Motel 6 clients. If you get hungry and don't want to leave, your only choices are the vending machine in the lobby or ordering pizza/take-out. I must add that the WiFi is woefully inadequate for most needs other than checking e-mail/Facebooking. (Speeds around 1.3Mb/second or so for the $2.99/day fee.) If you're on a budget or don't want luxury, this is your best bet for sure in Boise. Other hotels are MUCH worse and charge $20-$30 more.

Room Tip: All smokers go upstairs, and there's NO elevators. No hair-dryers/coffee makers in room.

Finding a hotel that doesn't gouge its customers for permitting pets is hard enough, but lucking into one that doesn't stack fees AND has truly caring people is a rarity. Managers just don't come any better than resident NW goddess Mary Anne - she understands the realities of hospitality, & high-involvement customer service, & executes her job with tremendous innate charm without a trace of the saccharine obsequiousness too commonly seen in this business. Is this a 5-star hotel? Of course not, Motel 6 is utilitarian - that's what makes it practical for pet owners. Hence the hardwood floors. Maintenance is constant & careful, I have no idea what some other reviewers were thinking. Plenty of space for leashed doggies to do their thing, not that guests always do their own jobs of picking up pooch poos, despite the fact that there are plenty of available options at hand. Parking's been fine, & we feel perfectly safe in the lot. If you want a good value & good treatment for yourself & your critter(s), stay here.

Room Tip: If you like it ultra-quiet, don't stay by an entrance/exit. Fine if you're not noise-sensiti...

I don't remember ever staying at a motel 6 that it did not have the amenities that all motels do, till I got to this one, the only thing it had was soap to wash with, and plastic glasses to drink out of which most do. The room was clean, and the property was clean, but nothing more when I said something about it to them , they said it was because of the ten percent I got that they did not have to have the amenties. I thought that not fair at all love the discount for what it was worth but if u go to Idaho there is a 13% tax that goes on that, bewar.

Room Tip: The room view was good but call if unsure what , there is in the room before u take it

A typical Motel 6. Easy to find, parking a bit scarce, friendly staff. Rooms are clean and are lacking coziness. Please note that wi-if costs for each night and that no blowdryer, shampoo or conditioner are provided.

Lackluster, needs to be remodeled M6 out by Boise airport. Room was fine, fairly large for M6 I thought, but spartan. BEST THING: MaryAnn @ the front desk -- she was fun and friendly, gave us extra pillows & towels, and made sure we were in the know about the 15% discount at the Kopper Kettle restaurant. See my review of that place too. Given my choices, I'd rather stay elsewhere, but in a pinch, M6 Boise Airport's ok. Meh.....

The hall smelled like cigarettes and the rooms are as bare as they come. Faux wood laminate flooring and nary a power outlet near the desk. Internet costs extra. That said it was fine for our quick stop.
