We were there for a wedding in the area and when we told the hostess that our guests were just married they gave us a very nice dining area, we were told that it was the owners own table and it was very nice, great view and great service.
The Dock Restaurant's breakfast left a bit to be desired, the food was overcooked and the service was slow, the other places were great, our server outside the Dock uncorked a bottle of wine for us and got us glasses without a fee.

Room Tip: Make sure its one that overlooks the docks, best view from there

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times over the years on business, pleasure, golf, and conventions. This was the first time we took our two whippet doggies to the CDA, who are seasoned travelers. The first thing we noticed as we were driving into the hotel was all the construction, which will be great for the area once completed, but then we noticed the highly toxic smelll of paint that they were using to paint the curbs black around the hotel. Next they were fertilizing all of the lawns with a chemical fertilizer. Keep in mind that the grass is yards away from the lake and the last thing that lake needs is more chemicals. Next morning the local chemical spray company came in to the entrance of the hotel and started spraying the foilage next to the entrance. We did lots of paw wiping at this hotel.

Thank you for your recent visit to the Resort. The City of Coeur d'Alene is responsible for the construction project noted in your review. The Resort is a proud recipient of the TripAdvisor "Green Leaders" award for environmental responsibility and awareness. The new city park located adjacent to the Resort is opening this weekend to fantastic reviews and we invite you to return now that the project is complete.

We have stayed here before and always found it top notch. Not so this trip. We checked in early and then went to the golf course. The front desk took our luggage for storage. When we returned the front desk didn't know where our luggage. The only help we got was, "you might check the bell desk". We went there and person seemed confused as what we were asking. We finally got him to check and he brought out our luggage. Not even an offer to help get the luggage to our room.

Our room was not in the tower and our garden side room looked into the indoor pool. No view at all and a little noisy. Be careful when you reserve to avoid these rooms.

We travelled to this resort for a conference this past weekend. The staff was very efficient and helpful. The rooms were lovely. We had a view facing the mountains, but the view of the lake from our balcony was nice. Our little balcony had 2 comfy chairs. Our room was a king room, the bedroom area was elevated, there was a sitting area with a couch, chair and computer area and tv in it. The bathroom was nice, there was a separate dressing area with lots of closet space and a built in dresser and 2 sinks. Separate potty and bathtub in adjacent room. Food here is really good also. The desserts are wickedly good. The banquet facilities are the best I've ever seen by far - the convention staff was fantastic.

Room Tip: Close to lots of restaurants and shopping! Fantastic shopping - beautiful clothes!

The Coeur d'Alene Resort is 100% first class all the way- a luxury resort that caters to discerning adults and well mannered children. Superb location, service, rooms, beds, spa, amenities, restaurants and lounges. The staff is gracious and friendly- they went out of their way to assist us with special requests on several occasions. As an added bonus, at least for us, is that they do offer a limited number of pet friendly rooms. The Coeur d'Alene Resort offers exceptional luxury and value relative to the price paid, however it is most definitely not a budget hotel and certainly not cheap. TIPS- f you are into spa treatments, the spa at Coeur d'Alene Resort is a most worthy indulgence. Beverly's restaurant over looking the lake is fine dining at its best with spectacular views- especially at sunset (hint, hint). Also, a short walk from the hotel, you can get an incredible sea plane ride over the lake and surrounding area for a very affordable fare. Net net- I can't wait for my next visit to the Coeur d'Alene Resort!

Room Tip: f you are into spa treatments, the spa at Coeur d'Alene Resort is a most worthy indulgence. Bev...

This resort has an excellent location on the lake with great views from most rooms as well as public spaces. Staff was very efficient and friendly. I couldn't get a good wifi signal from my room and they brought in a wireless router for my room that solved the problem right away. Although the bed could have been a little more comfortable, the room itself was large and comfortable. The property is located within an easy walk of downtown as well as a large park on the lake. Breakfast at the Dockside restaurant was tasty and the morning view of the lake was breathtaking. Although I was there on business I would love to return on vacation.

Room Tip: A lake view room would be well worth considering.

I stayed here 3 nights to attend a conference. The special conference rate made it a good value. Because I was here on business, I did not really use the resort amenities. It's nice, attractive, with friendly and attentive staff. I had a room with a marina/lake view -- very pretty. The room was nice size, comfortable king bed, love seat and chair for sitting around, desk. One wall was mirrors, adding to the sense of light and space. Fairly quiet. Clean. Very nice stone tile work and walk-in shower. Cushy white cotton bathrobes. In room coffee.
Internet connection in the room was easy but signal was weak; had some trouble with the temperature control and had to mess with the thermostat a lot.
There was a lot of construction going on in the street and area adjoining the resort, so you have to work your way through that but then you're in and it's no problem.
I didn't try out any of the restaurants on site, but ordered room service once and it was good and delivered in a timely manner.
Nice fitness room. Since it rained a lot while I was there, I used the fitness room three times. Several cardio machines (treadmill, elliptical, etc) plus free weights and weight machines. Pool area has strong chlorine smell, but still I enjoyed some time in the Jacuzzi with friends and then a dip in the pool.
I especially like the location along the lake, with access to bike/pedestrian paths along the lake, where I walked despite the weather. You can also walk right across the street into the nice area of downtown shops, boutiques, and restaurants.
