We decided before our trip to Coeur D Alene that we would eat Mexican at least once. There are a number of Mexican restaurants in CDA, so choosing one was a bit of a chore. Not knowing our way around CDA, we parked a couple of blocks off Sherman Ave. and started walking. We didn't get too far when we saw the sign for Toro Viejo from across a parking lot. We wandered over to the front of the shop and it looked a bit empty. After peering in through the window and seeing a few patrons, we decided to give it a try.
That was a good decision. we entered and kind of looked at each other (all wondered about the aging decor). We were seated immediately and barely got our bums in place before a basket of tortilla chips and salsa were set on the table....started to drift off to Mexico...The menu is quite diverse and we all ordered something different. I wanted one of everything, but let our waiter decide for me...I told him a burrito of his choosing would do...with Pollo.
We were very happy with our choice...the food was good, the service just as good. Value was excellent. We will go back.
