Stayed here for a couple nights and was really impressed. The decor is awesome and a much needed break from all the mountainous lodges around here. The food was awesome and Kimberly super friendly. I highly recommend this place to anyone coming to the Sun Valley area!

We can't say enough about our stay at the formerly Featherbed Inn, now the Spruce Inn. Kimberly, the owner is one of the nicest people you will meet and is so acommadating it's almost an unreal experience. The breakfast is to die for and she loves to cook. Yeah, because we love to eat! The room was beautiful and very cmfortable. Private entrance big plus and she accepts pets. We stayed an additional night we were so comfortable there and it was my husbands birthday and she made him and plate full of brownies. I don't see how you could go wrong with a stay here.

Our one night stay at the Spruce Inn (formerly the Featherbed Inn) was unequaled among our many B&B experiences in the US, Canada, and Europe. Speaking of Europe, this B&B has a very evident European pension flavor including the emphasis on privacy with the private entrance, unique stylish furnishing, a delicious breakfast exceeding all expectations, and friendly engaging reception by the hostess Kimberly. The breakfast is varied day to day as Kimberly exercises her interest in high quality food preparation and introduction of new recipes.

We did not get to stay at the Featherbed Inn in it's original incarnation, however we just got back from from our stay at the new, remodeled, redesigned and affordable Spruce Inn (their new name). Not only is the name new, the property is under new management. We made our reservation same day and were treated very well - excellent customer service. This not your mama's B&B...it's chic, modern and clutter-free. A wine (or beer) and cheese hour was offered in the evening, outdoor fire, hottub, and newly released movies and were greeted with an excellent breakfast in the morning. All for under $100....you will not find a better deal in all of the SV area.

We loved having our own entrance to our room so we didn't need to tiptoe when we came in late at night. Yet, we also had easy access to the Inn from the interior door. But we've stayed at B&B's before where we were worried about entering and making noise. With this one, it was like we were at home. Breakfast was good and the information about town was great. We would recommend this as a nice weekend getaway where you won't be stuck in your room the entire time!

Our group used two bedrooms. Both couples (one wth child) were completely satisfied. The hostess (Lynn) was warm, fun, helplful. The layout was the best ever for a B&B -- each bedroom with private bath and private entrance. Quiet. Enjoyed use of living, library areas. Truly luxurious king beds. Luxury bath rooms with excellent variety of exceptionally nice amenities. We wre served breakfast two mornings -- very special! This B&B tops high end hotels in which I have stayed (e.g., Dallas). A good variety of tbikes are waiting, ready for use -- the child and two others of us made good use of them. Computer internet access. Unique and fabulous furnishings and artwork. The 9-year old in our group had a single bed in a cute little offshoot of the bedroom -- a real hit for her. The hot tub and the pool had just undegone repair so were not available -- we did not miss the use s them.

Unlike other reviewers, everything went off without a hitch with my room. The further bonus is that there was a "recession special" of $75/night, which is essentially the cheapest you can get in Sun Valley. I stayed in the Fly Fishing room which was more than enough space and very comfortable. Sure, there was a strange fish painted on the wall - but I'd take that a million times over excessive faux Victorian doilies you often find at B&B's. It was walking distance to all the great restaurants and shops in Hailey. Breakfast was only served one of the two days that I was there - and it was a smidge greasy, but pretty tasty.
