“What a lovely place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 June 2014

We stayed here for 4 nights and had a lovely visit. Reception and all the staff made us feel very welcomed, when they found out it was my birthday they send us a bottle of Prosecco to our room. The hotel was very clean and well looked after, amongst beautiful gardens. Some rooms have the view of the lagoon; you can see Venice from there. We had a room with a garden view; it was so nice and quiet to sit out on the balcony in the mornings and also in the evenings after a long day out in Venice. Breakfast was very nice it had lots of fruit, pastries, cereals, yogurts, cheese and cold meats plus scrambled eggs. It is about a 10 min walk from the vaparetto stop (water bus station) but the view as you walk is lovely, and so nice to get away from the busy crowds in Venice. The hotel is only a couple of street away from the beach and from small restaurant and bar strip, there is also a local supermarket if you fancy some snacks and drinks. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

This small boutique hotel in Lido offers small but comfortable bedrooms and is away from the crowds across the lagoon. One enters the courtyard from the private boat dock, the flowers greeting guests like perfume. One wakes to the sounds of birds singing instead sirens. It is very pleasant.

We stayed for 2 Nights on our recent trip and were very delighted to be here , a Hotel providing all the required amenities yet away from the touristic crowded streets. Walking distance from the Lido water bus stop. The Breakfast is not a very lavish spread but I would not really crib about it as the service compensates. The place is clean and the staff is helpful with a good in room service from the restaurants.

Very comfortable hotel, surrounded by garden (very rare in Venice). 15 min walk along lagoon front to vaparetto stop, from there 15 min to San Marco.
Plenty of choices for breakfast, cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts, pastries and cake. Ham, salami, cheeses and scrambled eggs for those who prefer more substantial breakfast.
Room was reasonable spacious - 207 twin room garden view. Tricky to find somewhere to plug in kettle, took us 2 days to figure out extensions on bedside tables.
Buy vaparetto tickets for length of your stay, work on bus as well when you are too weary to walk back to hotel after exploring Venice on foot all day.
PS I loved the Guggenheim, and I'm not too keen on modern art. but what a collection!

Just spent four most enjoyable days viewing all the delights of Venice and then relaxing at this lovely hotel set within beautiful gardens.
It must have been a fabulous home once and is now a perfect place to unwind after the city and its numerous attractions.
They have a fairly modern annex to the side of the property in which we had a very nice lagoon facing room, with the skyline of Venice city, and could watch the cruise liners come and go plus the constant water traffic from a comfy bed!
We found all staff extremely helpful and informative and could not fault the overall service.
The breakfast was a good selection of local food and I am surprised by some reviews left by other guests, this dining room is entirely adequate in size and beautifully light with many windows. I think breakfast finishes about 10am but one day when we arrived at 9.45 everything was still available including service with a smile.
As our flight left at 5.30pm we asked to keep the room a little later and again this was agreed without a fuss - but this typified our stay - they welcomed us as guests and did everything possible to ensure we had a relaxing and great visit.
Would we return - you bet we would!!!

Room Tip: lagoon facing in annex

A very friendly welcome to this elegant hotel set in lovely grounds about 15 mins walk from main "bus" stop. Certainly a breath of fresh air away from the bustle of Venice, and with lovely views across the lagoon.
Like us, I guess most people will spend most of their time sightseeing in Venice, only coming back in the evening, so our needs weren't actually that demanding, though this place certainly filled them.
We don't often eat in hotel restaurants but this one was very good indeed.
Friendly garden bar with great barman to look after us....
...only let down by rubbish wifi and equally poor coffee at breakfast time - but hey, I can live with that!
