We are on a 4 week trip across Europe, staying 3 or more nights wherever we stop. Of all the places we have stayed Villa Stella served the best breakfast. Villa Stella was a retreat from the crowds and bustle of travel. It is an easy 20 min vaparetto ride to Venice. About a 15 min walk to lido beach. The rooms are very clean and well. It is family run, and details are cared about. Note there is no elevator. There is a laundromat and deli nearby and a fruit stand. We could have easily stayed here longer!

The family owned hotel Villa Stella is very clean with nice rooms, friendly staff and a decent breakfast. It is situated perfectly far from the very touristed central Venice! Easy to get around with bus and boat.

My husband, daughter, and son recently stayed at Villa Stella for one night after our cruise. We took a cab from the water taxi station which is a 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk.
The owners are friendly, speak English, and were very helpful in every way.
The property has a beautiful setting with lovely gardens that had blooming flowers. So peaceful compared to the crowds in Venice.
They have tables and chairs set outside for breakfast or for just relaxing.
Our rooms were very clean and had all the amenities we needed.
The breakfast in the morning was wonderful with plenty of fresh fruit, cheeses, pastries, eggs, juices, coffee. Beautiful presentation and sitting outside in the garden was a real treat.
Our experience at Villa Stella was positive and the owners worked very hard to make the guests feel at home. Lido is a nice change!

Likes: Hotel is in a good location, surrounding is very green, breakfast is very good and a friendly staff. You have frequent buses which just takes 5 minutes to the Lido Vaporatte station.

Dislikes:
Too small rooms and smelling old A/C not functioning (although this is a seasonal thing, daily temperature development has to be considered), A decision not to operate A/C before June or July sounds like cost saving measure rather than caring for client's comfort; Sadly this is common for most of the hotels in & around Venice. Wifi is not working

Room Tip: There is no lift in the hotel so better get a room on the 1st floor.

I have stayed at the Villa Stella 6 times. By "real traveler" I mean
someone who likes to sleep away from the crowds. Things such
as a very good Laundromat and a deli right across the street, plus
loan bikes to take to the seashore, and very good breakfast.

If you got a timed based vaporetto ticket it good for the buses on
the Lido. As you get off the vaporetto and take a turn to the right
on the sidewalk you will go 15 m and will see the bus stop for
lines A,B,and C line. They all go past the villa Stella - there is one
stop before the Villa about 100 M or after the Villa by about 50 M.

During the summer days the beach has lots and lots of sun lovers
In addition the gambling casino is open across the street from the
beach. A dress code is enforced and identification is necessary.

The women who own and run the Stella are very nice and helpful ....

Villa Stella is located close to Venice. It takes boat 20-30 minutes to reach the area from centre of Venice. Furthermore a 5 minutes bus ride or 20 minutes walk is needed. But the small town Lido is not without shops. There are supermarkets and many restaurants and pharmacies... The hotel is quite nice. The room are simply furnished and include shower and comfortable beds. You can rest outside in the garden and you can have beverages whenever you like. The breakfast has lots of variety from warm to cold food. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

This Bed & Breakfast is run by 2 sisters. One speaks decent English the other not. Both are pleasant. Our room was very clean despite worn; our top sheet had a coin sized hole. It is about a 5 min walk to a bus stop and a 7 minute bus ride to the water bus which takes about 25 minutes to get you into Venice. From the Villa Stella, bus stops are both to the right or left - the one to the right is maybe a minute closer. From the water buses, catch the bus back and get off after you pass the pharmacy on the right side of the road - then you will backtrack a bit to get back to the B & B. At breakfast, the meats, cheeses, fruits, etc are good and typical Europe. What sets it apart from many - the sweet crepes with chocolate that they will make fresh - not to sweet and excellent! To get there, you have the chose of taking the slower water bus that goes down the Grand Canal or the faster (filled with more locals) bus that goes around the back side of the grand mansions that line the canals. One of the owners gave us excellent advice on where to eat locally and where to buy a mask. This place is by no means opulent but suited our needs well.
