We stayed four days in a junior suite which was nice. They brought us a crib for our infant and the room was clean and pretty nice and spacious. The breakfast was good. All in all, a good stay.Only complaints were; the TV... weird cable channel programming, hard to understand and they took our passports for an hour... note to hotel: people do not like giving their passports away for any period of time. Small complaints for a nice hotel.
Ok, as for the rest of the Lido, it was really nice, lots of places to eat and shop and once you get the hang of the water taxi, it's a breeze. My only real complaint about the entire trip to Venice and in particular, the Lido area was the condition of the beach on Lido. Maybe it was off season, but the amount of trash on the beach was disgusting. I'm from San Diego and it can get pretty dirty on the forth of July but it is generally cleaned up in few hours after the celebration.. and kept that way.
The hotel was great though.

We stayed here fro a long weekend and it was great. They do a super breakfast buffet an the rooms are clean and good quality with antique furniture and lovely bed canopies. The bathroom was not large but perfectly usuable. The hotel is nice, slightly dated but in a charming way. It was all spotlessly clean and we found all the staff to be charming. A nice quiet pace to stay only a boat hop to St Marks Square. Lunch on the beach at Lido was great, yes the restaurants in Venice are expensive, but its Venice, what do you expect? The bike hire on Lido was great fun, we rented a car type cycle bike thing and we have never laughed so much. Would definately recommend this hotel

Room Tip: All rooms we saw looked good, island is quiet but some have street lights on the front but all rooms...

We have just returned from this hotel we had a 3 night stay and had the best time. The hotel staff are so helpful and friendly, really impressed. The location was great, as it was outside of the main hustle and bustle of Venice but easy enough to get the vaperetos on to the main part, just a few minutes walk from the hotel was where you catch the boats and they come so frequently. Breakfast at the hotel was great, lots of choice and again the staff were always so friendly and chatty. The Lido itself had nice bars and restaurants around it so if you didn't fancy going to the main squares for dinner you could eat there. Rooms were a good size and got cleaned daily, only tiny complaint was that they were so hot! They had fans but they didn't seem to work but still it didn't really matter we just had the windows open all the time. Had an amazing weekend staying here perfect location and great hotel! Such good value for money. Would definetely recommend as a great base for seeing Venice!

We booked this hotel as part of a 'city break' trip and I am pleased we did.
Yes, it has a certain faded elegance, but the room was HUGE, always clean and the bathroom was adequate too.
Whilst the room got VERY hot at night (we were told they aren't allowed to switch the a/c on til 1st April), opening windows before going to sleep cooled the room relatively sufficiently.
The bed was comfortable and as the place was so quiet (we did not have the binmen problem), we actually over-slept one morning.
The staff could not have been more helpful.
It's location in relation to the ferry/waterbus terminal is very convenient and the view across the lagoon, once the fog lifted was stupendous.
On our last day, we walked around half the island before stopping on the Adriatic side for a Coke and a sunbathe.
All in all a fabulous island and an amazing hotel.

We are currently staying at this grande hotel and what a lovely hotel it is. Lovely clean room. Powerful shower. Big comfortable bed to sleep on after a long day sightseeing. The breakfast is nice and plentiful. The staff are friendly and helpful. Perfect location. Surrounded by restaurants and a 5 minute walk to the vaporetto stop. All in all I would definitely stay here again when I come back to venice. Thank you.

We booked a well priced deal and we were delighted with the hotel location, the quality of the room and the lovely English speaking welcome. Fresh sheets each day, luxurious towel coats and access to a pleasant well organised spa. The 6.30 bin collections were an excellent alarm call! We arrived during a public transport strike but..to avoid the 24 hour ACTV strike we caught the Alilaguna boat from Marco Polo Airport. Well worth the Euro 15! Would certainly recommend! Took only 20 mins to San Marco on vaporetto - an atmospheric approach to San Marco.

Very imposing and grand hotel with fantastic and very helpful staff. Rooms are a bit small but all is very clean, furniture is a bit dated ('shabby-chic' in some circles);beds are huge. Breakfast is excellent and caters for all tastes, except full English!! Only downside are noisy bin-men at 6am.
The location is good for exploring Venice as the water bus stop is a few minutes walk away. There are a number of good restaurants & bars nearby. There is not a lot of sights to see on the island; but Venice has so much elsewhere. There is a health spa in the hotel but we never tried it. I would very happily go back here and would recommend it to anybody.
