“Lovely Hotel!”
Reviewed 20 April 2014

This hotel is totally unique! It is very pretty and homely. Set in quiet Lido, you can escape from the crowds and the madness of Venice. We enjoyed our stay here very much. The staff were very nice and helpful. The restaurant was closed when we stayed, but we enjoyed a lovely breakfast each morning, which was great! The room we stayed in was small but very clean and comfortable. There are no tea and coffee making facilities, which was a shame. The beach was only 5 minutes walk away from the hotel, and the shops about 10 minutes. We will definitely be returning to Quattro Fontane Hotel next year!

Myself, husband, his sister and mother all stayed for 3 days 2 nights. It was lovely!!! after the busy of Venice each day, it was so calm and relaxing. The rooms were beautiful and clean, we had 2 rooms next to each other that could be locked as one apartment but both had our own bathrooms which were lovely and clean and well maintained, quaint decor, reminded me of the sound of music lol. we started each morning with the most amazing breakfast selection and the staff were so lovely, helpful and very professional, rated excellent! The water bus to and from didn't take that long to travel, and when we got to Lido and worked out where the hotel was, we would walk home, although the first day we caught a taxi from the ferry terminal, which was reasonable. We got an extra tour in when we caught the private water taxi which was organised by the hotel and was 2 min stroll from the hotel and went to the Merano Glass Blowing island, what an amazing place that was.
We would totally recommend this place. Just a slight caution, the cost of laundering is expensive, so be wary of this.

A unique and cosy hotel on the Lido (Venice). The hotel is furnished with a lot of impressive antiques and paintings and there is a relaxed home style atmosphere in the hotel in general. Furthermore there is a marvelous garden with old trees and spots where you can relax or eat and drink. It was a surprisingly good combination staying at the Lido. Enjoying and discovering the hectic Venice during they day and then come back to the quiet and relaxed Lido in the afternoon/evening. Dinners in the hotel were as they should be. At a high level; nice and classic Italian dishes. We stayed there for 4 nights and can definitely recommend the hotel. The room was nice and tidy and had a nice a roomy balcony.

Me and my Fiancee we stayed two nights at the Quattro Fontane Hotel on Lido. For us it was the perfect location, as we used our water bus day passes to get to the Island and back, and I personally believe that it is not too far away.
The water bus took 10min to reach the Piazza San Marco station, and suddenly you were in the middle of chaos. Same was to get away from all the tourists in Venice, a 10min ride without having to wait long, and back we were on calm Lido.
The hotel itlsef was in good conditions from the entrance, the room, and even breakfast was ok. The service was very good by the concierge as well as the reception and the waiter/ess in the restaurant.
For some the hotel might seem priecier for what it has to offer, but it truly is a great location if you want to be as close as possible to Venice, without being in the chaos.

Room Tip: Take the rooms facing the seaside (not the one just above the restaurant terrace).

We stayed in this hotel during our European tour and found it definitely different! Location was nice on the Lido, though a fair ride in the water taxi from San Marco Square. It was an easy walk to the ocean and we dipped our toes in the Adriatic. The place itself is in pretty gardens and is obviously a renovated old villa which was interesting. All the rooms were different apparently and ours was a doozy, in a separate building with a large glassed foyer and up the stairs to a large attic room which was colourful and unusual to say the least. The sloping roof was so low in parts that even I hit my head twice getting out of the somewhat hard bed. The yellow flowered bathroom was even better and I have a funny photo of my husband with his head bent against the ceiling trying to look in the mirror. The shower over the bath had no screen so I sat down with the hand held rose. The man at reception said Japanese people love it but not so my nearly 6' Australian husband. It was clean, cute but by the third time I bumped my head, I was over it. Still, we enjoyed the drinks in the garden and breakfast and put that one down to experience.

Stayed family of 5 two nights july 2013. Had two rooms porters carried luggage as no lift. Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms very small and very basic really needs a fix up. Breakfast was ok basic but nice. Dinner at restaurant was very average go somewhere else to eat. Close to beach but not close to venice main islands must get ferry or water taxi. We would stay on main island next time.

Sorry but this is not a 4 star hotel. Service and facilities are not up to standard. For example our twin room was not ready when we entered -the cleaner had to be called to make up one of the beds. However it was very clean. Only 2 thin towels provided. The Hand towels were thin linen serviettes. No good to wrap round wet hair while you dry off and dress. Metal spring beds were squeaky and pillows VERY hard. The next day chocs and 2 mats appeared by our beds - why weren't they there the previous day? Noise travelled easily from the corridor so neighbours woke us regularly. Buffet Breakfast ok but not 4 star- first time we arrived at 9.30 so not late, but no scrambled eggs left and no offer to make more. Another morning no table was available/laid -had to scavenge around other used tables for knives and wait for a good 15 minutes before being asked if we wanted coffee. No info book about hotel facilities or local amenities in bedroom so we had to ask at reception - staff not necessarily there and not overly friendly or helpful. E.g. I asked about the beach and facilities there, but was not asked if i needed beach towels which I later found out we could have had - where was the 4 star service? Wifi poor - only 1 of us could use it at a time, for 2 iphones, and it kept cutting off. Decor strange to say the least. Scary puppets and weapons on the walls! Maybe 4 star rating is because of location - its a nice 15 minute walk to Lido town by canal and a few minutes from gorgeous beach. All in all we can't recommend this hotel, as a 4 star.
