This hotel has friendly staff and is optimally located for people who want to be centrally located but not disturbed by traffic. Many restaurants and bars are found in the vicinity. The distance to the water bus terminal (for Venice, Murano, airport etc.) is less than 500 metres (1/3 miles). The free beach on the Adriatic side of Lido is less than 1 km (2/3 miles) away.

There are some playing parks for children in Lido (by bus or bicycle), and a good one in Giardini (one or two water bus stops away).

Air condintioning is fine, 10 eur for wifi is very reasonable and it works, our room was optimal for our two kids. And the staff was very friendly indeed. Breakfast was simple, a good extra were the boiled eggs that belong to it every morning.

Room Tip: Our room was #502 on the first floor.

Made the booking last minute (3 days before travelling, to fit in with work commitments!) and it is an average hotel, a reasonable place to stay, but there are no amenities. The exterior suggests a very pleasant hotel, however, the interior does not live up to expectations.

On the plus side the location is not far from the water taxis nor the the main strip of shops/bars(then again not difficult as the Island is only small) All areas of the hotel appear were quite clean. The bedroom was basic with no aircon (Italy in May is warm, it must be unbearable in July) There was a TV in the room but it was tiny and no English channels nor film option (Yes, when on holiday the idea is not to stay in your room, but you cannot stay out all day/night)

The breakfast area was very basic as was the breakfast on offer. The bar area can barely be called as such, it is an after thought. Finally, the hotel staff. Other than a Good Morning/Evening there was no interaction, no asking how I was finding the Lido, what I thought of Venice etc, they seemed quite distant/uninterested. I think the lack of lounge/bar area meant no relationship was created. Wouldn't recommend this hotel to a friend unless like me the rate was very good. The average I've given the hotel is down to the rate I paid, if I'd paid more, it would have been a poor.

As a suggestion go to the Ausonia Hungaria hotelfor a drink (just 3 euro for a beer, which compared to most was very cheap) & something to eat (Better still check rates and stay there!) It is a larger hotel on the main strip which is set back and looks quite grande with seating outside which is very nice. Welcomed with a smile and a chat from the bar lady (Jelena) who was very nice.

All in all the Lido is a pleasant place to go and unwind. It isn't a place to be wowed. Beach was ok and was fairly quiet. As for Venice, it was something of a disappointment. Yes, it is pretty and the water taxi has a novelty value but it is a lot of very nice! You wind around street after street which is ok at first, but grows tiresome as other than a tiny square with cafe/bar there is little to see. Quaint squares and a sitting down somewhere is all well and good late in the day after a busy day of sightseeing, but not when that is the sight to be seen and it is only 10:00 in the morning.

If staying for more than a few days get the 7 day water pass for 50 euro (water taxi runs throught the night every 20/30 mins) and use the Alilaguna water bus from Marco Polo airport to the lido. (red line is quicker as it has fewer stops, blue more scenic, stops include St Marks) Alilaguna tickets office is a left turn after reclaiming baggage and entering the main foyer.

Just back from a 4 night stay at the Atlanta Augustus and had a brill time.
We travelled to the Lido on the Water bus, once we got off we found the hotel just a short walk away from the water bus stop.

The hotel has several steps to the front door which was a drawback as we had a baby in a buggy and we had to lift the buggy up and down the steps but this isnt really a negative but a ramp would be helpful.

The room was room 305 on the 3rd floor and there is a lift in the hotel. It was a interconnecting room with a bathroom inbetween the two rooms. One room had a double bed with TV and small fridge the other room had 2 single beds.
The rooms were cleaned each day and the beds made.

Breakfast was in a small room but adequate, rolls cake fresh fruit fruit salad a coffee machine the usual continental breakfast.

there are areas outside you can sit

We paid 10 euros for wi fi for the duration of our stay

The staff were friendly.

We had a one year old baby with us and took our own travel kettle to make her bottles, we had taken jars of baby food with us but couldnt get it heated up which was a shame. In hindsight I should have taken boxes of powder food then i could have boiled the kettle and used the water to make up the powder food.

The location was perfect just a short walk to all the shops and cafes/restaurants on the lido and near a Billa supermarket which was a god send, and cheap.

The lido is lovely and so nice to go back to after a busy day on mainland Venice.

If I was to go again I would go to the same hotel.

Didnt appear to be any air conditioning in the room and neither is there a bath just a shower which while that was fine for us adults it meant we couldnt bath the baby and she didnt like the shower.

Our room was very small and not like any of the ones pictured on the website! It was however very clean. Unfortunately there was a constant buzzing sound which kept me awake. They assured us that there was no heating or air conditioning on, but the buzzing persisted. We were offered another room which we moved to. On the plus side, good quiet location, very clean on the minus side buzzing noise, tiny bedroom, minimal breakfast. The desk staff were variable from useless to very helpful!!

This hotel situated in Lido one of the south islands of Venice was very nice. We enjoyed the fact that it was out of the way of the busier parts of venice and it was very easy to get the ferry boat (5min walk from hotel) into Venice to see all the sights. If visiting Venice again we would stay in Lido I think as Venice gets very busy and its nice to have that quiter part to escape to. The surrounding location was a very nice neighbourhood, there was plenty of restaurants/shops and bars and it felt safe.
We only stayed in this hotel for 2 nights but wish we had longer.
The man on reception who met us on arrival was very friendly, happy and helpful.
Our room was cute, clean and roomy.
Breakfast was at a good time and of good quality.
Overall a good experience, Venice is beautiful.

I stayed in this hotel for two nights with my old parents.
Generally I am very very satisfied with the stay.
I can recommend this hotel to anybody.

●Good Point
1. Spacious room: We were given very spacious lofted room for 3 persons. It could be almost impossible to find more spacious room at such a reasonable price in Venice. Most hotels in Venice offer a very small room at a very high price..
2. Staff: They were very kind, friendly and helpful. I felt like at home during my stay.
3. Cleanness: Every part of this hotel was clean enough. Very comfortable.
4. Location: Though it locates a bit far from the waterbus stop, it's possible to get there by foot (around 10 minutes). You can also find some bars and restaurants near the hotel.

●Bad point
1. Breakfast: For me the breakfast is o.k. but for those who need the American style breakfast (a full of variety) the breakfast could be a bit poor. We are served two sorts of bread, Yogurt, orange juice, coffee, tea, milk, that's all.
2. The access to the main sightseeing area: You always need to take a waterbus to do sightseeing. I like to be on a waterbus, but for those who economize the time for travelling had better choose the hotel in the mainland.
