A modern and hip hotel that was slightly cheaper than anything we found in Venice. The room was actually a little bigger than I thought it would be so that was nice. The shower was tiny. The beds were comfortable. We had just come from both Florence and Rome where the hotel staff were extremely attentive and I guess we expected similar treatment here. It was a similar experience to spending a couple of nights in a hotel in NYC. Accommodations were good, service was just average. I'd recommend it though if you're looking to stay outside Venice, but just know that even though the boats are a short walk away, the action in Venice about a half hour via waterbus. A pleasant stay overall.

Just returned from 4 nights at this hotel.

It was lovely to get away from the crowds of Venice, which was very nice for a short time but coming back to the Lido at the end of day was perfect.

Hotel was great, very clean and rooms a good size. We had an attic room which was little restrictive for my husband (he kept knocking his head until he got used it!) but decor and cleanliness was spot on. The bathrooms were a good size as well.

Breakfast was more than adequate cereals, croissants, ham, eggs etc and all nicely presented in a modern, clean area.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

A quiet location which was just what we wanted. Good restaurants in the local area though we did go to Alla Botta (I think it was) across the main road and would not recommend eating there (very poor food - our risotto looked like and tasted nothing like any risotto I have every had) but other than that the food on the Lido was excellent with friendly staff.

If we go back to Venice would certainly book this hotel again.

Room Tip: Attic rooms are restrictive towards the gables but you soon learn to duck!

We stayed for 3 nights in April having chosen this hotel based on the numerous reviews offered up on Tripadvisor. As all other reviews will tell you this is an excellent place to stay both in terms of location and also with regards the staff who are both friendly and helpful at all times. Stayed in an attic room, which was both spacious and clean with a good sized bathroom (shower only). Not much natural light in the attic room as the windows are very small however this was a plus for us as we were not woken early by the sun light shining in at 6am. The location i think is excellent as you can easily get into Venice central using the water taxis, which are frequent from Lido and also it is nice to get back and away from the large crowds to a quieter less busy place. We purchased the 3 days travel pass at the Treviso airport however the bus from Treviso to Venice was not included in this price. The 3 day pass was 33 euros pp and was well worth the money as the water taxis cost 2.5 euros per stop or 6 euros for a single ticket to anywhere, which soon adds up so i would recommend getting one. We didn't personally think that Venice was particuarly expensive on the whole although as with anywhere there are certain restaurants and bars that cost more than others. We typically payed around £30 for lunch and drinks. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. Would definately stay here again if returning to Venice.

Room Tip: Attic room was cheaper than other rooms and more than adequate.

Highly recommend this quiet, tastefully renovated hotel in side street just 5mins walk from main vaporetto stop on the Lido. Perfect if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Venice and recharge your batteries. Our room spotless with very comfortable beds and modern bathroom. All staff we met were polite, friendly and very helpful. Good buffet breakfast swiftly replenished by hardworking, smiling lady. Good choice of restaurants just a short walk around the corner. We particularly liked Trattoria Africa - good simple food and wine reasonably priced.

I decided to go for a lido hotel after searching high and low for a reasonably priced hotel in the city that was en-suite and with good reviews. Couldn't really find much and the more I read the more I thought it would be nice to stay away from the hubbub of Venice and be near a beach. Like two holidays in one and commuting by boat each day ( only 10 mins) was part of the fun!
Arriving was easy. Bought a 72 hr travel card in airport for 33euros each and took the number 5 bus to p. Roma (the main bus station). Don.t bother paying the extra 6 Euros form the express bus as it isn't necessary. Maybe save you 5 minutes tops but the number 5 is included in travel card and it only takes about 20 minutes to town ven with some local stops.
Getting on the number 1 vaporetto and travelling den the Grand canal was the best way to arrive and get an idea of the city layout. Loved it.
The hotel was very close to the ferry stop. About five mins down main st and then turn right. The hotel is in a quiet back street and lovely and quiet. The decor looks brand new. Desk staff checked us in and very friendly. The room was fine. Larger than most I'd seen but about average travelodge layout and size (but a lot more contemporary and stylish) however I had booked a superior room on Expedia deal so dd ask if it was a superior room as it didn't seem to have anything extra to it. They seemed confused by the question so think the night staff (after 7pm ish) maybe didn't understand English quite as well. Asked again the next morning and they said they would ask management so we didn't worry too much as room was fine and spotlessly clean. The next morning the lady on the desk said we had a largish room but not a superior one and she would reduce our stay by not charging for breakfast. I hadn't realised the expedia deal was room only so this was helpful. I was slightly disappointed as had booked it as a special wedding anniversary but at the nod of the day it was still a lovely room (315) and good value for Venice so didn't complain. There was free wifi (you need a code each day from reception) and breakfast room was never full for us and plenty to eat. Cereals, toast, yummy croissants, juice, eggs, ham, cheeses, usual continental stuff. The hotel also had pretty garden which would be lovely when weather a bit warmer.
Restaurants on lido were much better food and value than venice. We ate twice at al do mati on main st and when we got a bit sck of pizza and pasta there was a lovely Indian/thali place called Buddha bar almost by the turn for the hotel which we'd recommend esp for vegetarians ( but they do plenty of meat stuff too).
Would definitely return to lido and ths hotel. We spent be day hiring bikes and cycled all over the island. The Pine Forest and beach at far end of used was pretty. Hired bikes at 'lidon' just off main st at ferry end. Only 7.50 for bike each. Good value. No deposit req. just leave driving licence or passport.
Loved Venice but loved having an escape route too. The vaporetto service was amazing. So easy to use and ultra reliable. Runs all night too but we didn't use it after midnight. We allowed 2 hours to get back to airport for flight home and that was easily enough as we took the faster 5.2 line back to p.roma.
Hope this is useful. V.good value and immaculately clean hotel away from the madding crowd and rip off restaurants!
